Madison Wisconsin offers many wonderful attractions for kids of all ages. To begin you can start your tour with the majestic Wisconsin State Capitol Building. Wisconsin¡¯s capitol is an architectural work of art. It is modeled after the nation¡¯s capitol.
If you visit from April through November on a Saturday, you can explore one of the largest and finest farmers markets in the United States located on the Capitol Square.
State Street offers a wide variety of charisma, culture, and character in its colorful shops totaling nearly 200 plus coffeehouses and restaurants. You are sure to find something pleasing to every family member young and old.
There are free concerts on the Capitol Square every Wednesday night during the summer.
Madison is also home to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Here you will find 14 acres of outdoor specialty gardens, a botanical center and the Bolz Conservatory. The conservatory is a 50-foot high glass pyramid housing a sunny tropical paradise.
The Henry Vilas Zoo will bring out the kid in every one. Birds, reptiles, wild animals, and many different types of fish is open year around and is FREE!
Madison is home to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail hosting many geological formations formed by the giant glaciers during the Ice Age said to be 70,000 to 10,000 years ago.
For your winter enjoyment, you can visit Elver Park with open skating, sledding, hockey, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
There is also a Children¡¯s Museum where the little ones can dig for dinosaur bones, brush, groom, and milk cows, and see their shadow on a phosphorescent wall. They will also learn about the dairy industry.

Another museum is the Elvehjem Museum of Art, housing a large collection of photographs, paintings, prints, and sculptures from prehistoric days to the present.

Lazer tag is offered at Ultrazone. They offer family times, games for grades, which rewards kids for getting good grades in school, and birthday groups and other special event times.
Crawdaddy Cove is Madison¡¯s indoor water park for guest of the Holiday Inn. It hosts an activity pool with a slide, water basketball, a children¡¯s area with 5 mini slides, and a whirlpool.
Madison also offers all the regular fast food places the kids love to eat at and if they are into big, juicy burgers you must try out the local favorite eating spot called Dotty Dumpling's Dowry. Their burgers were voted #1 in the state. Another great place to eat, which features macaroni and cheese (a favorite of most kids), delicious sandwiches, and for a break from eating, a carousel is Ella¡¯s Deli.
