Ohio is more than just farms and cow pastures. It is full of many things to do and different places to see. On the northern border, there are the Great Lakes, and to the south, the rivers. Ohio has many different terrains, all within a few-hours drive.

For the sports¡¯ enthusiast, Ohio is home to quite a few professional teams. Head north to Cleveland and you¡¯ll find the Cleveland Indians or the Cleveland Browns. In Canton you can also visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Or if you¡¯re traveling to Cincinnati, see if you can catch a Bengals football game or a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. The Reds were the first professional baseball team, in 1869 and were originally known as the Cincinnati Red Stockings.

If music is more your style, Cleveland is also home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Check out some pieces from some of the greats in music!

Heading for the outdoors? Check out Serpent Mound State Memorial, a well-known site. At 1348-feet in length, this earthen mound winds in the shape of a serpent. It is located near Peebles, Ohio. 

There is something in Ohio you won¡¯t find anywhere else in the world: the only Y-shaped bridge in existence. It stands in Zanesville, where the Muskingum and Licking Rivers meet. 

If you¡¯re looking for a thrill, visit Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. This theme park is considered the roller coaster capital of the world. It has the most rides, at 68, as well as the most roller coasters, at 14. 

Getting in touch with nature is easy to do in Ohio. You can also visit John Bryan State Park, near Clifton and Yellow Springs, Ohio. Here you can camp, or hike the hills and the trails. On warm nights you can travel the short distance down the road to the Jersey dairy, where you can get any kind of ice cream, as well as food that appeals to you. With counter service or take-out, as well as a full-service dining room, once you finish dinner and grab dessert you can head outside for a game of miniature golf or to the petting farm. 

While you¡¯re in the neighborhood, visit the small towns of Clifton and Yellow Springs.  Yellow Springs is home to Antioch College, a Liberal Arts college that sits on a small, but beautiful campus with a lot of little shops, restaurants and galleries. Grab breakfast or lunch at the old mill. Here you can dine out on the porch water-side while the grist mill still runs. Before you leave, take a stroll through the old general store for some old-time homemade goods. 

If this is a little too close to nature, check out the Toledo Botanical Garden, home to a variety of individual gardens, or check out the Jet Express. This 22-minute catamaran excursion will show you seven Lake Erie islands, teach you about island histories and lake information during the narrated tour. The final destination is the best part. It travels between Port Clinton and Put-In-Bay, a popular island spot for family fun and recreation.
