Norfolk, VA is located on the east coast of the United States, directly on the Chesapeake Bay.  There are plenty of delicious and exciting restaurants to choose from, all with their own unique style and fare.

The Freemason Abbey is a renovated cathedral-style church located in Norfolk's busy downtown.  "The Abbey", as it's known, features delicious fresh lobster, cooked-to-order steaks, seafood quiche, and many special dishes that vary from season to season.  A beautiful plush atmosphere adds to the unique dining experience.

Cora is a Southern style restaurant with a gourmet twist, featuring unique dishes such as quail or shrimp and grits, and specializes in Sunday brunches.  It also showcases a full vegetarian menu.  On weekends Cora occasionally hosts local bands, and has a full bar and original artwork.

The Surfrider is positioned on an inlet off the Chesapeake Bay near a neighborhood of boat ramps and is known for its delicious freshly caught seafood.  Beautiful views of the water and an outdoor patio are especially inviting in the summertime.  Tuna, flounder, crab, scallops, and the catch of the day are just some of the dishes the Surfrider offers.

Fellini's is an original Italian restaurant with a truly unique menu of gourmet pizzas, delicious pasta dishes, a full wine list, and authentic Italian appetizers.  A cozy and warm atmosphere makes you feel like you are in the heart of Little Italy in New York.  The food is great and fairly priced, and the atmosphere is casual enough to feel comfortable, but beautiful enough for a special date.

For more casual fare, the Taphouse is the perfect choice.  Constantly changing their menu, the Taphouse hosts live music on the weekends and serves up beers from around the world, with an ever-changing specialty beer menu.  Most recent menu items include a macaroni and cheese dish featuring prosciutto ham and vegetables.  If you're looking for simpler food, they also carry pizzas, chicken strips, nachos, burgers, and the like.

The Colley Cantina, one of Norfolk's most well-known Mexican restaurants, boasts some of the best margaritas in town.  Additionally, Mexican dishes from enchiladas to burritos are served up fresh and hot.  The Cantina has an outdoor dining area on busy Colley Avenue, where patrons can sit outside and people watch.

The Baker's Crust is a great bistro-deli restaurant with homemade breads for sandwiches, or you may purchase a loaf to take home.  The Baker's Crust also has delicious homemade soups served inside hollowed breads.  Salads are also served in this fashion.  You can choose from every type of bread from rye to pumpernickel, to cheese breads, or just plain old white or wheat.  Delectable desserts are also homemade including crepes and cheesecakes.

Crackers is a tapas restaurant with excellent martinis and custom drinks unique only to the restaurant.  Food is served appetizer-style to be shared with friends or as a snack to go along with drinks.  The menu changes often, but look for delicious food served there like blue crab ravioli and goat cheese quesadillas with carmelized onions.  Top it off with a chocolate martini or try Crackers' do-it-yourself s'mores.
