Movie theaters are scattered throughout the city. The anonymity of the super theaters to the tiny neighborhood venue offering artsy films mid-city. You can even experience a blast from the past at an authentic drive-in theatre just across the river in Iowa.
Parks are everywhere in Omaha. Places to take a good book, or places to absorb the beauty of the changing seasons in this beautiful mid-western city. Seasonally, many activities are offered in the area parks.
Musical opportunities are around every corner in Omaha. Symtheatersphony pop to Christian or country artists just passing through to major players performing at one of several available venues.

Water is abundant in Omaha. If you want to play in it, hang out by it, watch the wildlife interact with it or run, bike or walk along it, you can find an outlet in Omaha. You can even ice skate, water ski and it¡¯s safe to drink, too.
In Omaha over the 4th of July, watch the fireworks. If winter holidays spur you to look for activities, check the paper or on-line sources. Lots of winter activities are available, including the cozy indoor kind.
With several learning institutions in the area you can find lots of opportunities to learn a new skill or dust off an old one. Adult education classes, craft classes at local super craft stores. You can even take flying lessons in the area.
Love art? Museums, sculptures, outdoor art fairs, even demonstrations are available. Love live music? It¡¯s here, in lots of different places. Love sports? You can travel from far away to cheer for your favorite college baseball team in June at the College World Series, or the dozens of other sport related activities offered in the area. Love animals? Omaha¡¯s zoo is top notch and top rated. A perfect solitary opportunity. Acres of animals, scenery and interesting facts.
Drive through the scenic neighborhoods. Far northeast, homes look out over the Missouri River. Mid city boasts historically restored, beautiful homes. Take a walk on one of the many nature paths or through the parks or nature reserves.
Try something that you haven¡¯t done before. Look for the unusual. Enjoy all that Omaha has to offer.
