If thrills are what you crave, you won¡¯t want to miss Earthquake-The Ride with its special effects and action filled adventure. The Guinness Book of Word Records offers a mind-boggling view into some of the unusual feats of various record holders. Speaking of unusual, the Ripley¡¯s Believe It or Not Museum will have you wondering if the sight¡¯s you see are actually real! 

You definitely want to visit Ripley¡¯s Aquarium of the Smokies. You can pet stingrays in a touch pool and stroll through the tropical rainforest to see the piranhas. This aquarium has the world¡¯s longest underwater aquarium tunnel, and as you move through it, you can look to the side or above you and see vicious sharks, along with many other varieties of fish. 

Ripley¡¯s Moving Theater is shown in 3D. This ride lets you feel the wind, rain, and snow as your seat bumps, jerks, and moves. You¡¯ll almost forget that this is all a simulation. Another simulated ride that is a favorite among tourists is the Motion Ride Movie Theater. You can choose up to four movies to watch and experience.

Gatlinburg offers several putt-putt golf courses and go-cart tracks. These are always popular activities for almost any age. There are also numerous arcades with some of the most popular state-of-the-art video games. 

Don¡¯t forget to ride up the mountain side on the Gatlinburg Sky Lift. The lift gives visitors a chance to view Gatlinburg and the surrounding mountains from the air. This is a leisurely ride that allows you to rest your feet while enjoying the wonderful views from below. 

If heights aren¡¯t a problem for you, be sure you buy tickets for the Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway. The tramway departs regularly on a schedule and takes visitors across the gorge and up to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, you can snow ski and snow board on Ober Gatlinburg. There is also an ice skating rink available, along with an amusement park. 

Once you¡¯ve experienced all that Gatlinburg has to offer, you¡¯ll want to hop in your car and head for the mountains. Cades Cove, located in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, is a quiet paradise that is not far from Gatlinburg, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The circular road allows visitors to see herds of deer grazing in the woods and among the pasture land. Tourists can pull off the side of the road and hike the quiet paths or stroll through several old cemeteries, churches, and homesteads. If you¡¯re lucky, you may even see a black bear or two. Please don¡¯t approach them or attempt to feed any wildlife that you encounter, though.
