If you head to the big city of Seattle, one place you should not miss is the Space Needle. At over 605 feet tall, the Space Needle has been Seattle¡¯s most visible landmark since it was built for the 1962 World¡¯s Fair. For a real adventure, ride one of three glass elevators up to the newly remodeled observation deck, where you can take in a stunning 360-degree panorama view. From here you can see the city skyline, Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and both the Cascade and the Olympic mountains. For a chance to enjoy the view even further, you can opt for a relaxing lunch or dinner in the SkyCity restaurant. At 500 feet up, the views here are breathtaking and the restaurant actually revolves on a 14 foot wide turntable which makes one complete revolution each hour to ensure you don¡¯t miss a thing. Kick back and enjoy some Pacific Northwest cuisine or a glass of wine and take in the city as it unfolds before you.

Another Seattle attraction well worth visiting is the bustling Pike Place Market. The market has been around for nearly a century, and is very near and dear to the heart of Seattle and its residents.  Not just a tourist destination, it is still an authentic, working market and is always alive with an intoxicating array of sounds, sights and smells that will be sure to entertain and amaze you. It covers over nine acres and has shops and stands selling everything from farm fresh produce to specialty foods to handmade crafts and antique collectibles. Wander through the stalls and watch fish flying through the air at the fish vendors, check out incredible flower displays being assembled by the florists and buy some beautiful blooms to take with you, or scope out the countless restaurants and take-out stands cooking up delicious meals and treats. You can also take a moment and watch musicians and other entertainers performing on the sidewalks, or maybe just find a seat and people watch in one of the most bustling markets in the country. Whatever you decide to do, it¡¯s an invigorating and enjoyable way to spend the day.
