You¡¯ll also pass the State House, located on historic Beacon Hill, and the nearby site of the Boston Massacre. Some of the most famous patriots who led the fight to America¡¯s independence from England are buried in Granary Burying Ground. Copp¡¯s Hill Burying Ground and King¡¯s Chapel Burying Ground are two more old cemeteries that are worth visiting.
Keep following the red line until you reach the Bunker Hill Monument. This monument pays tribute to the Battle of Bunker Hill, when the Colonial army stood firm against the Brits. You will definitely want to continue your walk to see ¡°Old Ironsides¡±, otherwise known as the U. S. S. Constitution. This spectacular ship is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard. While you are there, be sure and visit the U. S. S. Constitution Museum.
Cambridge, Massachusetts is just across the river from Boston, and you can easily get there on the MBTA. Walk the hallowed grounds of Harvard, and enjoy the many street entertainers that stroll the streets of Cambridge. Book stores abound in this town, and characters are on every street.
