The museum houses hundreds of examples of Ohr¡¯s work and a glimpse into his life via personal papers and correspondence. A recent addition to the Ohr-O¡¯Keefe Museum is The Pleasant Reed House. The home belonged to Pleasant and Georgia Reed and gives visitors a rare look into the family life of an African American family at the time slavery was abolished.
The fishing and shrimp industry helped build the city of Biloxi and now visitors can enjoy authentic shrimp excursions on one of the local sailing vessels. Adventurers can expect a hands-on experience on one of these unique tours that offer a fascinating look at some of the local marine life.
Buccaneer State Park is a great destination for a day trip or a camping trip for the more adventurous.
