Orlando has something to offer everyone; whether you¡¯re planning to take the whole family, or adults only, this is the place to be. Various theme parks offer fun for kids and adults. Free-entrance attractions offer enjoyable activities a la carte. Cuisine is catered to your liking, by the best chefs.

Theme parks are one of the top reasons so many people visit Orlando. They are world-renown for three of the greatest theme parks: Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. Though these parks are not related, they all offer lots of enjoyment.

Sea World has come a long way, and now offers a variety of attractions, including the famous sea creatures the park is known for, as well as family-friendly shows, and exciting new rides. Not only can you see Shamu, the famous killer whale, get splashed while having your picture taken with dolphins, and watch the silly antics of the silly sea lion, but Sea World now boasts several thrill rides. The rides follow a water theme, such as the Journey to Atlantis, part coaster, part water-ride, Wild Arctic, a motion-based helicopter flight, and Kraken, Orlando¡¯s first floorless roller coaster. 

Walt Disney World is comprised of four major theme parks within its ¡°world¡±: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom. 

Magic Kingdom is the park always recommended for first-timers. This park features several ¡°lands,¡± including Fantasyland (Peter Pan¡¯s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Mickey¡¯s PhilharMagic, The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, etc.), Tomorrowland (Buzz Lightyear¡¯s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, etc.), Frontierland ( Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tom Sawyer¡¯s Island, etc.), and Adventureland (Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, the Swiss Family Tree House, etc.). The magic of Disney comes alive as you cross under Cinderella¡¯s Castle, and tour the lands and all the wonders each of them has to offer. Whether you ride the many rides, sit in on a show, or settle down for some food, Disney-style, visitors of all ages are sure to have a memorable experience once they¡¯ve entered the gates of the Magic Kingdom.

EPCOT Center has long been known for its educational status, but it is quite enjoyable as well. Have you ever wanted to see the Eiffel Tower, or take a stroll along the Seine? You can do that, and so much more, at EPCOT¡¯s World Showcase. Here you can tour the world in a day, and still have time for exotic foods and fun. You¡¯ll be treated to a plethora of countries, including Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, The USA, and the UK. Each of these countries has something to offer, whether it¡¯s a ride, special show, or film about the country. This is one world tour that will take your breath away.

EPCOT also offers much to do in its Future World area. You¡¯ll experience thrills with rides such as Mission: Space, and Test Track, and thrilling experiences including ¡°Honey, I Shrunk the Audience,¡± Cranium Command, Body Wars, Spaceship Earth, Turtle Talk with Crush, The Living Seas, Journey into Imagination with Figment, and much, much more. When the day is over, you¡¯ll see the countries light up and the Illuminations will light up the sky. When the day is over, the Illuminations show will leave you breathless.

Disney-MGM Studios is home to not only a theme park, but also an actual studio where films such as ¡°Mulan¡±, ¡°Lilo & Stitch,¡± and ¡°Brother Bear¡± were produced. You can take behind-the-scenes tours and see how the animation is done, as well as become part of the movies (if only for a day) by taking part in the many attractions this park has to offer. Whether you prefer big thrills such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Rock ¡®n¡¯ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, you¡¯ll feel like a part of the movies wherever you are in this park. Take a journey through the movies with The Great Movie Ride, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Muppet Vision 3-D, Star Tours, the Ultimate Star Wars ride, and play along for a chance to win real prizes with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire ¨C Play It! The Disney-MGM Studios back-lot tour will give you a look at how movies are made, and you¡¯ll see props and facades from movies and television shows you¡¯re sure to recognize. See Disney fairytales come alive in stage productions of The Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. At the end of the day, sit back and enjoy Disney¡¯s Fantasmic, a light show of epic proportions, using a screen of water. 

Last, but not least, is Disney¡¯s Animal Kingdom. Take an African Safari and see giraffes and lions up close on the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride! Join in the celebration of the Festival of the Lion King, where the music of the beloved film comes alive in new ways! Venture into the Asian rainforest and brave the Kali River Rapids. Be transformed to the size of an ant in the 3-D movie ¡°It¡¯s Tough to be a Bug.¡± Explore the Boneyard in search of dinosaur bones, before venturing into the territory of the dreaded T-Rex on Dinosaur ¨C The Ride. Top it off with a whirling spin on the Primeval Whirl, a spinning roller coaster for all ages.

Universal Studios now features two theme parks: the original Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure. 

At Universal Studios, you can take part in your favorite movies! Ride the movies, including Jaws, E.T., Revenge of the Mummy, Back to the Future, Earthquake - The Big One, Terminator, and Twister - Ride It Out! Become an agent trainee on Men in Black: Alien Attack. If you like animals, you¡¯ll love Animal Planet Live! And don¡¯t forget to go see Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey on a honeymoon adventure that picks up after the original film, in 3-D! 

Universal Islands of Adventure is the latest from Universal Studios, and like Disney¡¯s Magic Kingdom, it offers several ¡°lands¡± to explore: Marvel Super Hero Island (Incredible Hulk Coaster, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Doctor Doom¡¯s Fear Fall, and Storm Force Accelatron), Toon Lagoon (Popeye & Bluto¡¯s Bilge Rat Barges, Dudley Do-Right¡¯s Ripsaw Falls, etc. If you get hungry, enjoy a bite at Blondie¡¯s: Home of the Dagwood, Wimpy¡¯s, or Cathy¡¯s Ice Cream), Jurassic Park (Jurassic Park River Adventure, Jurassic park Discovery Center, Pteranodon Flyers, and Camp Jurassic), The Lost Continent (Dueling Dragons, The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad, Poseidon¡¯s Fury, The Flying Unicorn, etc.), and Suess Landing (Caro-Suess-El, The Cat in the Hat, If I Ran the Zoo, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and don¡¯t forget the Green Egg and Ham sandwich!).

Both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios also offer areas that are of no cost to venture through. They include features that you may have to pay for, but you can choose what you¡¯d like to do. There are restaurants and shops galore in these areas, and many fun things to do. After a full day of rides and attractions at any theme park, you¡¯re bound to be hungry. Here are some ideas for original food that you won¡¯t find easily elsewhere!

Walt Disney World¡¯s free-entrance area includes the Boardwalk, the West End, and Downtown Disney. Among the famed restaurants you can find the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Bongo¡¯s Cuban Caf¨¦, owned by Gloria Estefan, House of Blues, and Planet Hollywood, just to name a few. Many of the Disney resort hotels offer exciting food options as well. The Animal Kingdom Lodge offers two African-style restaurants that have won rave reviews, and are sure to please any appetite, and the Contemporary features Chef Mickey¡¯s, a fun restaurant for all ages, just to name a few.

Universal Studios¡¯ free-entrance area is called the CityWalk. At the CityWalk you can enjoy a taste of the Caribbean at Jimmy Buffet¡¯s Margaritaville, ¡°kick it up a notch¡± at Emeril¡¯s, or visit the Hard Rock Caf¨¦ Orlando, among many other eateries.
