The Museum of Discovery 每 located in Little Rock 每 is a wonderful place for learning through constructive play. This interactive facility houses numerous exhibits, such as Dr. Lovingston*s Study 每 kids are given the opportunity to learn about past and present cultures by examining the items that are contained within the various nooks and crannies of the room; Tech Zone 每 youngsters are exposed to telecommunications, engineering, robotics and more; Health Hall 每 children explore the five major systems of the body and learn about their functions and their own state of health; Imagination Station 每 kids can challenge their imagination with these great arts and crafts; Ottenheimer Theater Big Electric Show 每 45 minute presentation on the subject of electromagnetism; and much more. A variety of collections and special events are also offered at the museum, in addition to the vast number of exhibits. The Explore Store 每 the gift shop on the premises 每 is a wonderful place to stock up on souvenirs for yourself and the folks back home. Before leaving the area, be sure to pay a visit to Little Rock Zoo 每 also located in Little Rock, Arkansas. The zoo is home to more than 725 animals, representing over 200 species. The youngsters will love the Big Cat Habitat, Lemur Islands, Reptile House and other great animal exhibits. Among the many inhabitants, you*ll meet orangutans, antelopes, wolves, crocodiles, white rhinos, tigers and jaguars, as well as a number of others. Civitan Amphitheater is also on the premises, as well as a variety of special events, such as Zoosnoozes 每 an overnight camping experience, complete with animal activities, story time for the youngsters and a good old-fashioned campfire. For two hours, you*ll be riveted by beautiful costuming, talented dancers and comedians, dramatic lighting and mystifying illusions. Audience participation is part of the fun 每 don*t be surprised if you end up with an animal attached to you, as did one little girl whose lap was suddenly host to a flying raccoon. Magician Robert Kalina will draw you into quite an exciting performance, as he offers entertainment such as a girl suddenly appearing in an aquarium and a princess of the jungle who*s sectioned into six pieces. The fun and excitement lasts throughout the show, which is presented by an extremely talented cast of young people who enjoy the opportunity to meet the various members of the audience after the curtain goes down each night. Before the show begins, Kalina wows onlookers with delightful pre-show presentations, which are every bit as impressive as the main show. This is definitely a ※must see§ for vacationing families who are in the Eureka Springs area.
Another tourist attraction that Eureka Springs has to offer is Dinosaur World. Over 90 life-size images of prehistoric figures live in this 65 acre park. Youngsters will be thrilled by the sight of dinosaurs dotting the landscape as they stroll through the forest. Depending upon your preference, you can walk or drive through the park and witness the numerous prehistoric creatures. In one area, you*ll even see a colossal King Kong 每 four stories tall. The park also offers fishing, but you*ll have to bring your own equipment. You*ll also be required to obtain a fishing license for the state of Arkansas. The scenery includes a waterfall and a good old-fashioned swinging bridge that*s sure to delight the kids. A gift shop is also on the premises, selling a variety of souvenirs that you can purchase as a remembrance of your trip. While the park is open from March through mid-December, those who vacation during the summer months will have the added benefit of having access to the park seven days a week. Spend the day in this beautiful park, and don*t forget to bring a camera and wear comfortable shoes, if you plan to tour the park on foot rather than by car.
Magic Springs & Crystal Falls 每 in Hot Springs, Arkansas 每 is a combination amusement and water park, suitable for the entire family. Some of the more bone-chilling rides include The Gauntlet, Big Bad John, Arkansas Twister, Dr. Dean*s Rocket Machine, The Hawk and Wild Thang 每 as well as numerous others. For those who are looking for something a bit tamer, there*s Rum Runner Pirate Ship, Diamond Mine Coaster, Magic Swings, Twist &n Shout, Old No. 2 Logging Company Log Flume and, of course, the Carousel, plus much more. The little ones will enjoy Looney Ballooney, Bugga Booga Wheel and Fearless Flyers, to name a few. The waterpark section offers High Sierra Slide Tower, Crystal Falls Wave Pool, Kodiak Canyon Lazy River and Grizzly Creek Splash Zone, where kids attempt to cross logs that are floating in the water. While both sections of the park are open on a daily basis during the heat of the summer, the amusement section offers more availability during the weekdays, while the waterpark is unavailable until the mid-May.

Since the fields are often muddy, be sure to come prepared with appropriate attire and footwear. Also on the premises are a variety of activities and special events, including fishing, hiking trails, camping, wildlife observation and a water playground.
Treat your family to a cozy little Ozark village in Conway, Arkansas. Pickles Gap Village has lots of interesting things to see and do for adults and kids alike.
