Another fun amusement park is located a few miles south of the Pavilion. The Family Kingdom Amusement Park has one of the oldest and largest roller coasters in the south, along with other rides for all ages.

Water parks are an alternative to the beach for some families. Visitors may enjoy the sun and the water without the sand. Safety is also a factor in choosing the water parks. The wide-open beach and deep swift currents often prove challenging for some first time visitors.
