Number 5 on the list is Splish Splash in Long Island, New York.  This park opens starting Memorial Day weekend and is open the entire summer.  Admission prices range from $29.50 for guests 48¡± and taller to $22.50 for those shorter than 48¡± and Senior Citizens to free admission for children 3 and under.  Season passes and reduced admission after 4pm are also available.  This park covers 96 acres of wet and wild family fun.  The park contains several rivers for guests to enjoy.  There is a calm lazy river for those who are a little less adventurous and also the Mammoth River which is a family river adventure.  There is also an abundance of water slides ranging from the Cliff Diver which drops guests 8 stories in 3 seconds to the Giant Twister body slides.  Children enjoy playing on the shipwreck which is the center of Monsoon Lagoon.  There is also a special area for children that includes small water slides and activity pools.  Splash Splish is also home to a tropical bird show and a high dive show.

Fourth on the list is Water Country USA located in Williamsburg, Virginia.  This park is also open from late May throughout the summer.  Ticket prices range from $35.95 for guests ages 7 and older to $28.95 for children ages 3-6 to free for children under the age of 3.  Multi-day and season passes are also available.  Guests that are less than 42¡± tall are required to wear a life vest on all major attractions.  Rides at this park range from a river adventure called Hubba-Hubba Highway to racing your friends on the Nitro Racer to the Jet Scream tube rides that send guests down at 25 miles per hour.  Water Country USA also has a United We Soar diving show for guests to enjoy.

Number 3 on the list is Raging Waters located in San Dimas, California.  This park is another one that is open from May through September.  Patrons can enter this park for prices ranging from $27.99 for patrons 48¡± or taller to$16.99 for those less than 48¡± to $17.99 for Seniors ages 55 and older to free for children 2 and under.  Discounted admission after 4pm and season passes are also available.  This park is home to the Wave Cove wave pool, the Vortex twisting and turning waterslide, and the High Extreme which is a ride that is 10 stories tall and sends guests plummeting at 35 miles per hour.  The park also has several children¡¯s areas.  Kid¡¯s Kingdom is a 30,000 square foot water playground designed specifically for children.  The Little Dipper is another children¡¯s area with miniature water slides, wading pools, and fountains.  

Disney¡¯s Blizzard Beach is number 2 on the list.  This park is open all year round with the hours varying depending on the time of year.  Prices range from $29.95 for patrons 7 and older to $24 for children ages 3 to 6 to free for children 2 and under.  The park is designed to look like a ski resort although it is really a water park.  Tikes Peak is a great area for children.   There are several small body slides and fountains and wading pools to play in.  Cross Country Creek is a great place to float around and relax in.  Patrons who would like to experience a rush can plummet 120 feet down Summit Plummet at speeds of up to 55 miles per hour.  There are also several other water slides ranging from body slides to tube slides to family slides.

The best water park in the United States is the Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, Texas.  This park is open from April through September.  Tickets range from $28.16 for patrons 13 and older to $23.32 for children ages 3 to 12 to free for children younger than 3.  Season passes are also available.  This park is more than 60 acres of water fun and contains more than 40 rides.  Riders can zoom down giant sized soda straws from the top of a large Coca-Cola glass.  They can also ride the rollercoaster-like Master Blaster which has been rated the best water ride in America repeatedly.  This water park also has a total of 6 child-friendly play areas.  These areas have smaller water slides, wading pools, fountains, and numerous other attractions for the smaller crowd.  There is also a wide variety of different family rides to enjoy.
