Golf is not the only recreational activity available at the 159 parks throughout Indianapolis. Hiking, biking, and rollerblading are popular along 185 miles of greenway trails. Playgrounds, sports fields, and organized classes vary from park to park. One outdoor and two indoor ice rinks are popular wintertime destinations. Performing arts events in Indianapolis are as as desirable as in any major urban metropolis.
