The Majestic Theater offers visitors an opportunity to hear the classic sounds of the San Antonio Symphony, and they can also experience many other concerts and events. Tourists enjoy taking a tour of the Spanish Governor¡¯s Palace, which has been labeled a national historic landmark. Nearby is The Tower of the Americas, which is 750 feet tall and offers guests a view of the city below. There is a restaurant located 500 feet up in the tower. There are plenty of free contemporary art exhibits that are shown throughout the year at the Southwest School of Art and Craft, which is located in a building that was once a girl¡¯s convent.
The San Antonio Botanical Garden gives visitors a chance to quietly stroll through its beautiful forest or enjoy the various flowering plants that change with the seasons. Guests can also visit the garden¡¯s conservatory, gift shop, and restaurant. The San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium has built a reputation as one of the premier zoos in the country. It has over 750 species and includes a mini-zoo that was designed for children under five.
Once you¡¯ve experienced everything that the city has to offer, you might want to branch out to the surrounding area of San Antonio. Natural Bridge Caverns and Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch are both popular tourist spots. This cave is Texas¡¯ largest and most spectacular show cave. Visitors can also pan for gold and gemstones.
