Even though Milwaukee is probably most famous for its beer, it holds the promise of many romantic possibilities for the young and young at heart. Just the proximity of the beautiful Lake Michigan can inspire romantic solitude. The gentle sounds of water lapping the shore forms a caressing backdrop for strolling couples, day or night.
Milwaukee appeals to the couple looking for private moments together and the couple seeking to take advantage of all the excitement the city has to offer. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy an exciting night watching the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee¡¯s NBA team, or the Minnesota Vikings, Milwaukee¡¯s NFL team, before a quiet late night dinner for two.

If sports is his thing and art is yours, you can do both. The Third Ward is a restored warehouse district that has been designated a National Landmark District. It offers wonderful restaurants, exciting nightlife, antique stores and art galleries.

If animals are what interest you, visit the Milwaukee County Zoo that houses everything from red pandas to Siberian tigers. Fifteen minutes from downtown Milwaukee you¡¯ll find the Schlitz Audubon Center with its seven miles of trails through woods, beaches, and prairies.
