Juneau, Alaska can be a very interesting and exciting area for any couple to visit. The attractions found here vary widely from cruises to hikes to historical sites. Botanical gardens can be found as well as health clubs, rock and ice climbing, and of course, snow skiing. It does not matter what the couple is interested in doing, Juneau more than likely has something that will interest them.

Hiking tours are available from many different companies.  The tours allow the visitor to see the real Alaska, whether is it a stroll down the shoreline, a rainforest hike, or just simple walking around the historical city. 

Wildlife viewing is very popular in Juneau. There are many different ways to view the wildlife. A tour from a boat is possible, where the tourist is capable of seeing humpback and killer whales, seals, sea lions, bald eagles and more or a visit to the Alaska Raptor Center where visitors can get a close up view of eagles, hawks, owls, falcons and other birds. Other tours are available where it is possible to see a variety of wildlife such as black bear, Dall porpoise, sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, mountain goats and Sitka Black Tail Deer.

Kayaking and river rafting are always popular with tourists visiting Juneau. Several companies offer these tours, all the tourist has to do is decide if they want a guided tour or just rent a kayak or raft and explore on their own. A visitor to Juneau can raft at the Tatshenshini/Alsek River World Heritage Site, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Mendenhall Glacier¡¯s scenic river, canoe at the Gates of the Arctic National Park, or kayak at the Katchemak Bay State Park, remote areas of Glacier Bay, Tracy Arm Fjord, the Icy Strait or even the Inside Passage to see abundant wildlife.
