As with many of the Las Vegas golf courses, the Badlands golf course was influenced by the top golf professionals.  The course was designed by Johnny Miller with Chi Chi Rodriguez adding his input as a consultant.  Badlands was voted "Best Las Vegas Golf Course" in 1997 and 1999 and "Best Desert Course" in 2002 and 2003.  

The course, which opened in 1995, offers 27 holes in a spectacular desert layout.  From the course, players can take in stunning views of the mountains and the beautiful Las Vegas skyline.  Golfers of all levels will be able to find something with the four sets of tees that Badlands offers.  There is also a clubhouse, full-service restaurant with covered and uncovered patio seating, pro shop, and private golf lessons. 

Jack Nicklaus' latest course design can be found at Bear's Best in Las Vegas.  The course is one of Vegas' smaller golf courses, only offering 18 holes, but the breathtaking design makes up for what it lacks in size.  Nicklaus has successfully replicated some of his most well-known holes from other courses in a beautiful desert setting.  The course includes holes from Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, PGA West in Palm Springs, Castle Pines in Colorado, and Las Campanas in Santa Fe, to name a few.

Bear's Best is conveniently located only 20 minutes from the airport and the famous Las Vegas Strip.  The course was chosen by the PGA Tour as one of three courses that hosted its 2004 Las Vegas International.  Other amenities include a clubhouse with restaurant, proshop, and driving range.

Las Vegas' newest golf course is the Siena Golf Club.  It offers views of the Strip and the Redrock Mountains which surround the Las Vegas Valley.  The 18th green provides a great view of the waterfalls of the quarter-mile long "Lake Siena."  The six bodies of water that surround Siena set it apart from the other Vegas golf courses.  Standard amenities such as a clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, and driving range are also offered.

Red Rock Country Club was designed by Arnold Palmer and now offers two 18 hole golf courses.  The Mountain course is private and only accessible to members of the club, but the Arroyo course is open to the public.  While playing, golfers can enjoy a beautiful view of the Red Rock Canyon and the mountains that surround the Las Vegas Valley.

Another first-class country club to visit in Las Vegas is the Rio Secco Golf Club.  This club offers the finest service, including player services attendants who do everything from carrying the player's club to parking his car upon arrival at the club.  There is a pro shop that carries the latest equipment and a driving range that faces the Butch Harmon School of Golf.

Dragon Ridge Golf Club was designed by renowned course architects Jay Morrish and David Druzisky.  The course is decorated throughout with a traditional Scottish theme, which gives it a feel unlike any of the other Vegas golf courses.  The first tee is located at the bottom of the rugged MacDonald Highlands.  From there, the course winds its way through the McCullough mountain range, providing golfers with a unique view of the mountains.  The club was chosen by Tiger Woods as the host course of his annual Tiger Jam.
