Current wedding dress designs are so varied, they easily allow every woman to express her individual style. While some couture designers are making dresses increasingly more provocative, others are embracing classic sensibilities. Some of the hottest trends in wedding dresses this season include vintage-inspired designs, glittering gemstone-covered gowns, summer sheers, strapless fantasies and glamour puss gowns.

Not only are brides blushing, but modern dresses are showing a hint of color. From solid off-whites like ivories and peaches to whites with pastel sashes, bows and straps, color is making its way into bridal design. A pastel tulle underskirt adds a splash of color to an otherwise traditional wedding gown or color embroidery can dot the skirt of an elegant dress. Colored crystals can combine gemstone appeal with a blush of color for a truly trendy combination. Satin ribbon in a bold color can be used to accent a dress as a belt, spaghetti straps or to adorn it with tiny bows. Other brides are even donning gowns of vivid jewel tones or metallics. Imagine strutting down the aisle in stunning silver instead of winter white. 

Sans Straps

Strapless necklines continue to gain in popularity, with stunning lines. Frame your cleavage with ruffles, pleats or deep plunges in some of the most stunning gown designs available. Asymmetrical and draped styles provide elegant style without sacrificing classic elegance. Tiny straps are popular too, offering alternatives with every possible neckline shape. 

Glamour Puss

The polished elegance of film stars from the 40s and 50s is present in new lines of glamour gowns. Understated, yet posh is the mode for these dresses of luxurious fabrics and custom-fit designs. Tiny touches of fur, velvet or gold take seemingly simple designs over the top. Tiny buttons climb up graceful backs and up long closely-fitted sleeves. Bateau necklines, seed pearl trims and cascading flares of lace all bring to mind the film star wedding mystique and can complete the image for your personal fairy tale.
