As a fairly new face to the fashion industry, Sari Gueron is gaining deserved momentum as one of the most recognized names for her feminine Bohemian designs.

Born in Israel, Sari Gueron garnered her stylistic education at the Rhode Island School of Design.  Upon her graduation in 1997, she ventured out to the fashion Mecca of Paris and served as an apprentice to notable designer John Galliano.  Her developing design talent also led her to work with Oscar de la Renta, another strong force in fashion.  With a hefty accumulation of impressive credentials under her belt, it was only natural that Gueron¡¯s entrance into the world of fashion would be loud and clear.  

After her work with Oscar de la Renta, Gueron launched her own label in 2003.  Even so, she did not start grabbing the attention of fashion appreciators until 2004 when she released her very first solo collection.  With the premiere of her presentation of 13 pieces, Gueron gave a refreshing outlook on the modern independent female.  She invoked the spirit of traditional design by means of utilizing subtle tints of 1920¡¯s and 30¡¯s fashion that were ingeniously merged together with modernized flair.  Draping fabrics delicately flowed on models and clung to the appropriate places to create an awe-inspiring nuance of contemporary femininity.  

Polished looks of clean lines and simplicity casually adorn her designs.  With Gueron¡¯s manipulation of fine fabrics such as chiffon, silk and lace, she creates a look that doesn¡¯t convey an image of daintiness, but one of sensual confidence.  As the sole designer of her label, she combines the concepts of the radical avant-garde and translates it into garments that can be worn by the everyday woman.  Her eye for detail and expert tailoring skills, produce some of the most modernly elegant looks that cleverly characterizes an unassuming angelic quality of modern fashion.

Sari Gueron further evolved as an up and coming designer in the spring of 2005 at fashion week when she created a buzz with her graceful designs.  Fashion editors as well as other onlookers were more than intrigued as she presented her new collection.  Her spring line preserved her utilization of wispy textiles complimented by a mixture of flattering neutrals, meticulous patterns and understated sensuality.  The smooth fabrics flowed as they were mixed with different elements of the conservative and the suggestive.  Toga-like skirts exposed the right amount of skin while a fair amount of creativity is expressed through empire and dropped waistlines.  

Although Sari Gueron¡¯s label is new to the fashion scene, her collections prove that she has been in the game for years.  She has reached new levels in her career and has the possibilities to reach the same legendary status as her mentors Galliano and de la Renta.  Without using any ostentatious gimmicks or gaudy aesthetics, Gueron¡¯s unmatched abilities as a visionary designer have given the industry a breath of fresh air.  Her flourishing talents have gained a following with some of Hollywood¡¯s most famous names such as  Natalie Portman, Magggie Gyllenhaal and Scarlett Johansson.  Through elegant nostalgia and contemporary ideals, Sari Gueron has definitely set the standard in the next generation of fashion design.
