Your doctor¡¯s goal in labeling your pregnancy high-risk is just to keep a very close eye on what transpires throughout your pregnancy.  If things go smoothly, the pregnancy won¡¯t feel all that much different from a typical pregnancy.  You may actually receive better care because your doctor wants to be very in touch with every little thing you experience.  Prevention is the name of the game for women who are at risk, so your cooperation is imperative.  

Hopefully you will be one of the many women who defy statistics and expectations and go on to have a very normal, happy, healthy pregnancy and delivery.  Being high risk doesn¡¯t have to be a bad thing, enjoy the experience of getting to know your baby and your doctor better than most women do.  Don¡¯t let the high-risk label be a self-fulfilling prophecy, think positively!
