Idaho is not just known for potatoes, it is also known for Gold, Jared Gold.  One of the more unique entries into the world of design, Jared Gold is an innovator from the word go.  Getting his clothing start in the rave scene, touring with Lollapalooza in the early 1990¡¯s, Gold became one of the first clothing designers to sell his wares to the party crowd of that era.  Starting with edible inks on tee¡¯s and moving into developing a large line of clothing, Jared made his way to design school and then a deal with Barney¡¯s New York.

Gold¡¯s focus is to celebrate the individuality we all possess.  His initial designs drew from the dark side of the personality with a gothic bent.  A play on historical costuming his gowns were replete with dramatic necklines, long floor length hemline and bishop sleeves.  As his style and focus has matured his designs have become a more distilled and poignant version of his beginnings.

His more recent contributions are centered on the idea that good design does not need to be expensive.  His innovation in production techniques alone makes this line unique in the history of fashion.  

THE STYLE
