Weddings are the perfect excuse to revel in the joy of designing and creating crafts, and a spring wedding even more so! Making and sharing something unique and distinctive will show everyone how much you value their gift of attendance. In addition, these ideas will make it look like you expended tons of energy to show your gratitude, but surprise, all are relatively simple to make! 

Flower Shape Bubble Blowers

Bubbles are always a fun addition to any wedding, and you can easily make your own flower shaped bubble blowers for the guests to take home! Lay these out on the tables, along with bottles of bubbles, and everyone will be happily blowing bubbles at the reception and then can take them home to reuse as a bookmark that will bring back memories every time they use them.

Materials

Round nose pliers

Wire snips or heavy duty scissors

25 or 26 gauge wire

Assorted beads (Centers need to be large enough to slide two pieces of wire through)

Assorted ribbon cut into 12¡± pieces

Craft glue 

Tie ribbon lengths

Cut wire into 3¡± to 4¡± lengths. Hold one end of wire, and with round nose pliers, free form the wire into flower shapes. You may find it easier to shape the flowers with just your hands. Choose whatever way is more comfortable. End each shape by wrapping end around first end.  Fold ends with pliers into loop. Run a length of ribbon through loop, and tie. Slide beads over ribbon onto wire loop. Depending on the size of beads, you may have to use two or three to completely cover ends. Place a small spot of glue on each bead to keep in place. Flatten shapes gently, so that they will hold the bubble solution better. One tip to keep in mind when forming flowers is to make sure that the shapes will fit inside of whatever bubble solution you are going to use.

What better gift to give to the attendees of a spring reception than a tree to take home and plant in honor of the newlyweds! 

Materials

Small trees suitable for planting in your area in the spring

Clear or colored cellophane

Ribbon

These can be assembled quite quickly a day or so before the wedding. Just be sure to add a bit of water to keep them fresh.

Place each tree into clear or colored cellophane. Add a mist of water to each tree, tie closed with ribbon. For an added touch, tie a small card to each one with the Bride and Groom¡¯s names, and date of the wedding.

Heart ¡®Sachets¡¯

Another quick and easy wedding favor craft is heart sachets made from felt, and filled with small candies or mints.

Materials

Felt in white and wedding colors

Ribbon

Scissors

Yarn needle

Mints or other small candies

Cut out two hearts for each sachet, from felt, each approximately 3¡± x 3¡±. With ribbon and yarn needle, stitch two hearts together with a simple running stitch. Leave about a one-inch opening along one edge, but leave enough ribbon to tie a bow to close the opening. Fill with mints, tie closed with bow.

Personalized CD¡¯s or DVD¡¯s of the Bride and Groom can be a fun way to share the joy of planning the wedding. Fill them with pictures from the wedding shower, and the bachelor and bachelorette parties. If you happen to be someone who loves to take photos and have documented other milestones along the way to the altar, include a few of those. Complete the discs with a decorative sleeve, and ribbon tied gift box style.

Time Saver Favors

Every wedding seems to have a final ¡®oops¡¯, and if your lucky it will be nothing more than the planners forgot table favors. Don¡¯t despair! You can whip these out last minute and no one will have nay idea that they were put together on the fly.

Materials

One roll of Lifesaver mints for each favor (Make sure they are not individually priced!)

Long yarn needle (If you do not have a long yarn needle, a pipe cleaner can also be used)

White or cream colored ribbon cut into 12¡± lengths, two for each

Thread needle with both lengths of ribbon, and run through center of mint package. Tie a bow on each end.
