Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac and is ruled by the planets Mars and Pluto.  Mars was the god of war and Pluto the god of the underworld and when coupled together makes for motivated, penetrating and aware people.  Scorpios are represented by the scorpion symbol and is associated with the water element.  A good motto for Scorpios is ¡°still waters run deep¡± as they are emotional but tend to hid their emotions.  They are motivated, resourceful, intuitive, passionate and suspicious.

     Scorpios are best suited as doctors, secret agents, navigators, investigators and managers.  They are happy to serve others as long as they will not be hurt.  Their passion and intensity lead them to lofty and important goals and anyone who has not earned their respect will fall to the wayside.  They like to take charge and can effect changes with nothing but their sheer will.

     Scorpio is a very sexually driven sign and there are no keeping secrets from this sign, although Scorpios are notoriously secretive.  They can be devoted and caring lovers, however, when crossed can be vengeful and vindictive.

    Scorpions are a go anywhere type of bunch that love to travel.  However, more than the actual travel is the experience gained from such adventurous places as India, Mozambique, or Algeria.  Scorpios prefer interesting places where things can be learned to places with pretty scenery and landscapes.  Scorpios prefer to travel alone but are not against going in a group.  When traveling with them, be prepared to follow their agenda as they will not let anything they wish to do be preempted by a group vote.

     Scorpios should never be taken lightly.  They are dead serious when it comes to learning about others and will not stop their investigations into anything until they get to the absolute bottom of things.  You won¡¯t get much out of a Scorpio, though, as they are complex and secretive and too much prying can push them away.  They live in a black and white world with no use for a grey area.  They live life on their own terms and can be overbearing or seen as self destructive, but they will bounce back from any setback or criticism.  Scorpios are extremely resourceful in every sense, whether it is money or ideas and are ideal to have around in a tight situation.  Their determined take-charge attitude can cause others to follow without realizing they are being led.  Scorpios are fearless and determined to succeed, focusing on the beginning and ending of things and not much in the middle.  

     Scorpios like to win, create, solve and manage any situation.  They work hard to feel satisfied and have an uncanny ability to find the truth.  They lead by example and if their aggressiveness can be controlled, Scorpios can accomplish and achieve anything they set their mind to.  Challenge and competition are the Scorpion¡¯s strengths and they often relish the thrill of coming from behind in a race.  Scorpios never go into anything without giving it their all, but watch out as they tend to do things with ulterior motives.
