1. Indiana Historical Society 每 The Indiana Historical Society is an excellent location to host your wedding and reception. The Eli Lilly Hall has four-story vaulted ceilings, walnut columns and imported Italian marble floors that lead to the outdoor plaza. It has a grand staircase that is lovely to use for the wedding procession. This space can accommodate up to 250 guests. The Mary O*Brien Boardroom is also available for gatherings with fewer than 90 people.
2. Indy Parks 每 Indy Parks will be happy to work with you to find an ideal setting for your wedding ceremony. Some of the most popular locations are Eagle*s Creek, Eagle*s Hideaway, The Sunken Gardens/Garfield Park Conservatory, and Glenns Valley Retreat & Nature Park. Space and amenities vary from site to site but something should be available to fit large or small wedding groups. Some have buildings with kitchen facilities as well.
3. Enchanted Wedding Chapel 每 The Enchanted Wedding Chapel has a variety of services as well as wedding and bridal consultants. They can also help you with details including floral arrangements, photography, the wedding cake and more.
4. Omni Sevrin 每 The Omni Sevrin hotel was originally built in 1913. Its old lobby with connecting ballroom is now used as an exquisite location for many weddings. Original chandeliers and its marble staircase enhance this neoclassic setting. The sweeping staircase would make a gorgeous setting for bridal photos.
5. White River Gardens 每 White River Gardens is a beautiful 3.3-acre setting that includes many botanical attractions. It includes many outdoor design gardens, a water garden, a wedding garden, a glass enclosed conservatory and more.
6. The Indianapolis Zoo 每 The Indianapolis Zoo is a unique location to host your wedding. The Efroymson Wedding Garden is available for daytime or evening weddings. The Hilbert Conservatory is available for evening weddings on weekends. Reception facilities include the Hulman House or the Dolphin Gallery that is to become available in Summer 2005.
7. Crown Plaza Union Station 每 This Crown Plaza hotel is housed in Union Station and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Grand Hall has spectacular appeal with its unique arches and columns. The stained glass barrel ceiling and matching 20-foot stained glass wagon wheel are simply breathtaking to view as well. This is an ideal setting for a wedding rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and also the wedding reception.
8. Wyndham Indianapolis 每 The Wyndham offers indoor or outdoor wedding venues for brides-to-be to choose from. The Grand Ballroom can host up to 200 guests or for a more intimate gathering you may choose the garden for an outside wedding site.
9. Yellow Rose Inn- The Yellow Rose Inn is a beautiful venue to host your wedding as well as the reception afterwards. This Victorian mansion is furnished with many museum quality antiques and has 3 working fireplaces with carved walnut and marble. Beveled glass, stained glass and marvelous chandeliers are throughout the home. They will gladly work with you to ensure that all the details are attended to so you will have a memorable and wonderful wedding day.
10. Five Seasons Country Club Indianapolis 每 The Five Seasons Country Club is a premier location to host your wedding event. The ballroom has a wall of mirrored French doors and natural light. It also has a balcony that is the length of the room and can offer guests a beautiful view of the grounds and a bit of fresh air.
