Every couple wants reminders of their wedding day, and a wide array of photographs for albums, framing, and sharing with family and friends is the easiest and best reminder available.  Choosing a photographer (whether professional or the family amateur) is an important first step in planning for your wedding, and that photographer will ask for a list of poses and groupings that the couple definitely want pictures of.  This list will include everything from the traditional bride with her parents shot, to fun photos of the happily married couple pulling away in their decorated car.  Depending on budget, the photographer might be snapping candid photos throughout the reception, to get any memory gems that might be missed in formal posing¡ªbut those posed shots will still make up the bulk of your photo album fodder.

This checklist makes a great stepping off point for composing your own unique, individualized checklist.  You will need to cut out the obviously not relevant portions, and add in anything you find missing, but working with a starting point can help cut down on the number of forgotten shots or family members.  In particular, this checklist assumes the bride has divorced and remarried parents, and the groom¡¯s parents are still married.  Shots you might want with friends are harder to predict, so don¡¯t forget to sit down and think of any groupings you might want (such as a shot with the friends who set the newly married couple up with on their first blind date).
