Pike Place Market: Located in central downtown Seattle, the Pike Place Market is the oldest farmer's market in the U.S. The market began in 1907 because Seattleites were tired of paying big bucks for produce. The Space Needle: Built in 1962 for the Seattle World's Fair, The Space Needle was originally known as "The Space Cage" in keeping with the fair theme Century 21. The Canal: It's not quite Venice, but this event site located in the lap of a 1916 shipping canal comes pretty close. The Seattle Aquarium: If there's going to be lots of kids in your celebration or if you're just a kid at heart, then consider The Seattle Aquarium for an especially memorable day. You'll be able to exchange vows in the 400.000 dome exhibit featuring all sorts of fish and other marine creatures in Puget Sound. Receptions take place in another part of the facility.
