There are many ideas for spring wedding favors that incorporate colorful flowers such as daisies, lilies and roses.  Pink, lilac, yellow and white are some popular spring flower colors that can be used to brighten up your favors and create thoughtful keepsakes for your guests.  

1. Spring ¡°thank you¡± bouquet  

You can say thank you to your guests by leaving small, colorful bouquets of fresh flowers on your guest tables.  Tie a small bundle of white and yellow daisies (or the flower of your choice) with a satin or sheer organza ribbon, and then attach a ¡°thank you¡± card to the bow.  The ¡°thank you¡± card should have your name, your groom¡¯s name, the wedding date and a short note of gratitude expressing your gratitude to the guest for attending the wedding and showing their support.

2. Miniature hourglass vase place card holders

Small hourglass vases, about three inches high, can be purchased at any craft store as well as just about any color, style and size of ribbon.  Fill a vase with colorful miniature roses, a few pansies or a bright colored daisy.  Tie a thin satin ribbon around the vase and use the flower as a place card holder by setting the card on top of the flower, within its petals.  Print or write a ¡°thank you¡± note on the place card from you and your groom, as well as the wedding date.

3. Spring flower seed favor packets

Packets of annual flower seeds can be purchased at most nurseries or hardware stores for under a dollar.  Lilies, begonias, poppies, daisies and roses are some popular spring flowers.  Wrap a few packets in ivory tulle netting, and tie it with a colorful ribbon.  You can also include a ¡°thank you¡± card with the seed packets that states your appreciation for your guests¡¯ attendance. 

4. Floating flowers

You will need to find glass or plastic goblets with a very short stem and wide bowl width, so that flowers won¡¯t be crushed when inserted into the goblet.  The goblet should be five or six inches high and at least four inches wide at the rim.  After setting the goblets on your guest tables, fill them with two inches of water and then place a flower on top of the water.  The flower should be positioned so that it is floating on the water, not immersed. You can use daisies, petunias, or any light weight flower and make sure the stem is cut all the way to the bottom of the bud.  After inserting the flower, you can tie the stem of the goblet with a colorful ribbon.  When the wedding reception has ended for the night, the guests can transport the goblets by dumping out the water and leaving the flower in the goblet.  Once home, the guests can then add water to the goblet to revive the floating flower.

Candles can create some very unique spring wedding favors.  There are a variety of ways they can be used to put a finishing touch on some basic favor ideas.  Here are a few that can be made at home.  You can usually find the candles and all supplies at craft stores or wedding boutiques, as well as at party supply stores.

1. Daisy candles in glass flower pots

Purchase small candles shaped like daisies or roses.  These usually have a nice scent, such as lavender or rose and come in different colors like lilac, pink and yellow.  Take a small glass flower pot and place a candle in the flower pot.  You can use a large shot glass, about three inches high, as your flower pot.  Wrap a colored ribbon around the flower pot.  Your name, your grooms¡¯ name and wedding date can be painted onto the ribbon for a special touch.

2. Candlestick wrapped with ribbons and flowers

You can use any color of candlestick for this spring favor.  Ivory or pink are popular colors.  Wrap the candlestick with an organza or satin ribbon, and tie a bow.  Insert a few flowers between the ribbon and candlestick so that the stem of the flower is parallel with the candlestick.  Try to make the favor colorful by choosing flowers that are not the same color as the candlestick and ribbon.  An example would be an ivory candlestick, pink ribbon and yellow daisy.  You can also attach a ¡°thank you¡± card to the ribbon.

3. Miniature tea light boxes 

Usually, clear miniature boxes can be found at any craft store.  The box needs to have a lid and be about three inches wide by three inches high.  Paint the box with flowers, your name, your groom¡¯s name and the wedding date. Place a colorful tea light candle in the box.  You can find small tea light candles in an array of spring colors like lilac, rose and yellow.  Place the lid on the box, and then tie a ribbon around the box.  This makes a delightful guest favor.
