1. Go Camping
For your wedding anniversary, do something out of the ordinary. Go on a relaxing and romantic nature excursion -- a camping trip. Even if you aren*t normally the ※camping type,§ give this idea a chance. It is a really fun way to bond with your spouse and do things that you don*t normally have the opportunity or time to do, such as roasting marshmallows, kissing under the moonlight while enjoying a warm camp fire, and cuddling up in a big, cozy sleeping bag. If the idea of ※roughing it§ without any plumbing is too much for you to bear, consider renting a log cabin so that you can enjoy a similar experience without the risk of using poison ivy as your toilet paper. Go on hikes, go fishing, and just enjoy each other*s company while you take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
2. Dance under the Stars
Dancing is classically romantic, and almost every married couple has at least one special memory about dancing together. Chances are that you and your spouse have a song that is ※yours.§ For many couples, it*s the song that you danced your first dance to at your wedding. Just set up a portable cd player outside after dark so that you can have a special dance. You could also go to a local beach or park. If the weather is bad, you could set up some white Christmas lights in your living room or bedroom instead. Even though you aren*t at a swanky restaurant, dress up as if you are 每 it just adds to the romance of it all.
3. A Day of Surprises
Who*s to say a date can*t last all day? After all, it*s your anniversary 每 it*s worth an extended celebration! Surprise your spouse throughout the day with an array of romantic gestures. Start off with some breakfast in bed 每 whatever your sweetie*s favorites are 每 even if that means driving to McDonald*s for a sausage, egg and cheese bagel and some hash browns! Be sure to bring along some fresh flowers with the breakfast tray. For lunch, pack a picnic lunch and head out to a local park or beach to enjoy the meal together. If the weather is bad, picnic right inside your living room 每 just throw a blanket on the rug and make like you*re outside. In the afternoon, blindfold your spouse and drive to your next romantic surprise. Come up with something fun and exciting -- maybe even sky diving. Finish off your day of surprises by having a catered dinner in your home. Arrange for it to be set up while the two of you are out so that when you get home, you can walk into a romantic finale to your beautiful anniversary day.
4. Dinner Date
There*s nothing wrong with being traditional. A dinner anniversary date can be spiced up so that it is a romantic and memorable celebration. Arrange for a limousine to pick you up at your home 每 and make sure to request a chilled bottle of champagne in the limo. Make a reservation at your favorite restaurant in person, and ask the manager if you could arrange for a bouquet of fresh flowers to be put out on the table (even if you have to drop the bouquet off earlier in the day). If the establishment you are going to has dancing, arrange for your song to be played after your meal so that you can share a romantic dance.
5. Take a Trip Down Memory Lane
Every couple holds the memory of their first date together very close to their hearts. Therefore, recreating your first date is a great romantic way to spend your wedding anniversary. The two of you have been together so long, and it*s nice to take a trip down memory lane and remember when you were just starting out. Your anniversary date doesn*t have to be an exact replication of your first date; just try to incorporate some of the same elements into it. You could also recreate another special memory or date that the two of you shared, such as your proposal.
