Planning a wedding can be exciting and exhilarating, but it can also be frustrating and stressful when things do not come together easily.  One of the things to think about when you are planning a wedding is the wedding reception location.  You want your reception to be beautiful, fun, and inviting for your guests, and choosing a unique location can help create the right atmosphere for your wedding reception.

One of the easiest places to hold a wedding reception is at some sort of hall or ballroom.  Many hotels and centers in cities have a banquet hall or ballroom that includes a dance floor.  This is a good idea if you are planning to have a large amount of guests.  It is relatively easy to find a hall or ballroom that will accommodate the amount of guests that you are planning to have at your wedding reception.  These locations can also be a good idea if you are in a cold area or having your wedding in the wintertime.  The indoor location allows you and your guests to be comfortable and enjoy the reception.

Another idea for an indoor reception is at restaurants in the area.  Certain restaurants will usually have some sort of banquet hall that can be rented out and used for receptions.  This is a good location if you want the restaurant to cater the reception.  Choosing a restaurant as a wedding reception location usually means that you may have to have a somewhat small to medium amount of guests.  If this is the case for you, then choosing a restaurant for the reception may be a good idea.

You can also look into historical museums and mansions around your area.  Historical buildings are great places to have your wedding reception, and the idea is rather unique.  If the historical building is not big enough to hold your guests, you may be able to have an outside reception on the grounds if the weather is warm enough.  If you choose to do this, then you can have a tent put up if you are worried about the weather.  

This brings us to outside wedding receptions.  A great place to have an outside wedding reception is in a park or garden.  You can usually rent the areas or get permits to use the areas.  Once you do this, you are able to get a tent put up and catering brought right to the area.  This is a great idea for people who decide to have a wedding in the summer.  Outside receptions can be a wonderful way to enjoy the weather and the reception at the same time.

Another great idea is to have your wedding reception on a boat.  This could be a cruise ship, yacht, or even a riverboat.  Boats give a great atmosphere for a reception and offer a unique view of the water.  As the sun goes down, you can see the moon reflecting in the water.  This is simply enchanting, and all your guests will love the idea.

Having your wedding reception at a casino is also another great idea.  Most casinos have a room that can be rented out and used for all sorts or things including receptions.  This can give you a great atmosphere and your guests may be able to enjoy a little gambling.  However, if you are worried about your guests leaving to use the casino then you may want to think about this choice.  

Whether you are getting married in the summer or the winter, you can find a great wedding reception location that is big enough to accommodate your guests and create a beautiful fun atmosphere.  You can choose an elegant indoor ballroom or a beautiful outdoor garden to hold your reception, but whatever you choose should make you feel happy more than anything else.
