When my twins were born, my youngest sister, who is into all things mystical, did natal charts of my children.  Being born two minutes apart - but being on the cusp - the kids each ended up having different sun signs.  

It may be hard to believe, but it's true!

My son was depicted as a Pisces and my daughter was born into the realm of Aries.  To this day, they are each other's best friend and worst enemy.  When they get along, they can double-team the universe.  When they are fighting, it's best to duck so as not to get hit by the proverbial lightning bolts.  Their connection is one that full of a wide spread of emotions, with two very different personalities vying for the top position at the forefront of all things.

Although this story is about a brother and sister, believe it or not, this duality of mutual push and shove best describes the Aries and Pisces individual romantic association.  This is the Pisces and Aries bond in a nutshell.

So, let's talk about the individual zodiac signs and what is significant about each of them.  After those highlights, we can get into the dynamics of the actual relationship of the two sun sign personalities.

Pisces - (from approximately February 19 to March 20, depending upon whose book or casting you read) is known as a Water sign.  It is symbolized by two fish sometimes swimming in opposite directions.  It shows the diverse nature of the Pisces man or woman.  Pisces are considered to be intuitive, kind, sensitive, spiritual and empathetic to a fault, and are known to be great lovers of animals.  

Pisces people love to acquire new possessions and have a strong desire for luxury and pleasure.  They are influenced tremendously by music and are highly creative.

Pisces are said to match up best romantically with individuals who were born under the Aquarian sign.

Aries - (from approximately March 21 to April 19, again, depending upon which source you prefer) is known as a Fire sign.  Aries is symbolized by a ram, showing strength of character and leadership qualities.  Aries folk have traits that have been noted as curious, playful, innocent, restless and extroverted, and they are often found to be natural leaders. 

Aries folk have a strong need to succeed in business, whatever that business may be, and they seek to achieve all that they desire in life. Aries can be highly competitive, but love to be in invigorating and thought-provoking surroundings.

Aries, according to most horoscope writers, are usually drawn romantically to those who are either a Taurus or a Virgo.

So, where does that leave the lovers who are born under Aries and Pisces, then?

Well, as Aries and Pisces are a fire and a water sign respectively, most people would come to the conclusion that an Aries/Pisces match is not exactly a match made in Heaven, since water and fire, in reality, are not exactly compatible.  After all, water is a known extinguisher of fire.  However, the situation is considerably more complex than that.

Pisces generally love the strength typically exhibited by an Aries person and Aries beings like being leaned on that way.  Pisces, in a relationship, tend to let Aries take the lead, particularly in making decisions.  However, it should be noted that after an Aries makes such a decision, Pisces people will sometimes ignore the decision, anyway.  They do it not for spite, you understand, but just because that is what makes them tick.

According to one source, Pisces lovers are responsive and adaptable, but do not take criticism or instruction in this area too well.  Aries, on the other hand, like to take the lead in this area, too, and can be quite innovative.  Since these signs denote (when joined) two people who can together hold a true love/hate relationship for one another, you can imagine the sparks that fly when they do get together.

Pisces and Aries together can be combustible, but as opposites can and do attract, it can prove to be a relationship with passion, energy and deep courage.  If you fall into one of these categories, that is, if you were born under one of these signs and the person you'd like to have as your significant other has been born under the other one, then you will need to find within you an acceptance of the fact that you are each very individualistic and cannot change the other in personality or deed.  Pisces/Aries is a connection that isn't known for being over-harmonious in the long run, but that isn't to say it cannot happen, either.

Nonetheless, with a lot of belief and hard work, and with strong support of each other's interests, goals and motivations, Pisces and Aries can have a strange but beautiful relationship.  It's a balancing act, to be sure, but it can work.
