Las Vegas, the city that holds a thousand secrets and, as the motto says, ¡°What Happens Here, Stays Here,¡± is one of the most popular wedding destinations.  Though the magic, lights and strip of Las Vegas will create their own memories, a wedding theme based on Las Vegas can be just as memorable, even if it is held miles away.  To emphasize the event and theme, as well as create a lasting appreciation from the bride and groom, some of the following wedding favor ideas should do the trick.

Favor boxes, wrapping or ribbon should be kept in the casino themed colors.  Try to stay with bright and basic colors such as red, green, white, black and silver.  Most of these colors or a combination should coordinate well with the wedding party and reception areas.

Keep in mind that Las Vegas is all about glitz and glamour, games and fun, entertainment and everything done over the top.  When creating wedding favors, a little sparkle or elegant glamour will emphasize your theme.  Go ahead, don¡¯t be afraid to provide that extra ¡°wow¡± factor.

In keeping with the gaming of Las Vegas, leave a travel size game at each reception plate such as mini-roulette, tic-tac-toe, checkers or backgammon.  These will be a particular hit with the youngest of wedding attendees but a fun memory for all ages.

Go a step further with the game theme and order personalized decks of cards.  Each time an attendee plays a game of Gin Rummy or Go Fish, a bright memory will appear of the happy newlyweds.

To keep in stride with the Las Vegas lounge theme, purchase glass martini glasses in bulk, fill with colorful confetti and wrap in cellophane.  Add a lottery ticket in each glass, telling your guests, ¡°We¡¯re lucky enough ¨C it¡¯s your turn.  Thanks for coming.¡±  If the budget allows, have each glass personalized with the wedding date and bride and groom¡¯s names or simply etch two hearts to symbolize the event.

For those gifted with CD burners and the talent to know how to use them, create CDs for each guest with the songs of Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Frank Sinatra.  Create a cover to the CD box that reflects Las Vegas of today or yesterday by scanning pictures or images into a computer and printing them on a color printer. Don¡¯t forget to add ¡°your¡± song and decorate the CD itself, if possible.  

Edible favors are always a big hit.  Sugar or chocolate dice, or casino chips would fit in nicely with the Las Vegas theme.  Wrap in a bag and tie with fake fur, a boa or very glittery ribbon.

Keep in mind that young attendees would prefer a favor that¡¯s usable and fun.  Wrap small magic tricks and candies in small bags and label them specifically for each child.  If a number of children are present, try to make each bag unique so they can share and entertain each other.
