Relationships problems? Everyone has them. Serious relationship problems? Maybe it¡¯s time to take a closer look at the relationship - and the problems. There are signs, whether you choose to ignore them or face them head-on, that your spouse is cheating, if you just know what to look for. Sometimes the indications are very subtle - the spouse seems to be purchasing more new clothes than normal or has changed his or her style somewhat, or the spouse seems to be awfully moody. The problem is, these are sometimes normal tendencies and doesn¡¯t necessarily mean the spouse is cheating. But, if the spouse has cheated before, you¡¯ve recently felt an emotional disconnection with your spouse, or there are even more signs that something seems different, then you might want to pay closer attention to the total picture.        

At the beginning of the affair, it¡¯s not unusual for the spouse to be extremely affectionate to the partner out of guilt. As the affair continues, a cheating spouse will often be moody around his or her current family, finding fault particularly in the partner, and displaying intolerance, temperament or anger. If this is out of character for your spouse, it could be one indication that he or she is cheating. Different cologne, new hairstyles, purchases of intimate lingerie or even a new car, could mean that your spouse is seeing someone else. Although any one of these pointers could mean that your spouse just desires a change, combinations of these indicators could mean trouble. Other indications are a sudden loss in interest as to family affairs, an ever-changing work schedule, money missing from bank accounts, or unexplained credit card charges. Doing something new or different sexually is another sign that the mate might be no longer faithful. 

One thing a cheating spouse might overlook is the smell of perfume or cologne on the clothing or hair, or make-up negligently left on clothing. Lovers often want to smell nice for each other, but sometimes forget that the perfumes might be detected and make-up on clothing may go unnoticed, except by the mate. 

Initially, the cheating spouse is often cautious about where and when to meet with the lover, but after awhile, they become more relaxed and begin making mistakes. Taking the lover out in public, calling the lover on the cell phone or sending the lover gifts are all sure-fire ways to get caught and eventually, the cheater probably will. 

If you feel as though your spouse is probably cheating, there are a number of ways to find out for sure. The cell phone holds the key to some scorned mates, whereas others check the car odometer, check up on the mate at work, ask questions of fellow employees, or simply follow the mate during lunch hour. There are other ways, like hiring an investigator or, if you think the cheating is going on in your own home, utilizing small, hidden cameras. How you choose to deal with the problem after verifying it is up to each individual, but choosing to ignore the problem will not make it go away.
