Even with an interstate move there are places where you can cut costs. Packing materials purchased directly from professional moving companies tend to be highly overpriced and many other stores sell less expensive boxes, paper, and tape. Some homeowners and renters insurance policies cover your belongings during transport and not paying the moving company¡¯s insurance fee can save you money. If you are able to be flexible, try not to move in the summer, the height of the relocation season.
