Some stores will offer this service for free, some for a fee, while others offer no removal service at all.This will leave you free of surprises when your new appliances are delivered, while giving you time to decide what you will be doing with your old items.
Obviously, you would want to have new bedroom and living room furniture delivered after any and all carpeting, painting and repair work is completed. Be sure that you give yourself more than ample time to complete a project before having such items delivered. Your best bet would be to buy your new furniture after any and all work is completed. This way, time is not as high of a concern. If you are concerned that the new furniture that you want so desperately will not be available at the time when your room is completed, you can always put your purchase on lay-a-way at the furniture store. Many furniture stores have this option for free of charge, and you can arrange the delivery when your final payment is made.
You front room, including family and living rooms, should be your last to have your new furniture to be delivered to. This will cut down on the amount of heavy traffic passing by your new home items, especially when you consider the weight of many of your new appliances and furniture items that will pass by.
Lastly, you don¡¯t need to have your furniture sprayed with scotch guard at the store. You can easily do it yourself at home with an aerosol can of the product. The majority of furniture stores charge a lot of money to provide this service, and the product that they will be using is the same as you can purchase at your local discount department or home improvement store. So save the money, maybe buy yourself a new painting to put on the wall, or new toss pillows for your new furniture. |
