Some additional features to look for include:

Wine and beverage rack - for storing bottles on their sides.

Deli/Meat drawer - usually has a separate thermostat for storing meats.

Freezer - quick freeze shelf

Convertible glass shelves - sliding glass shelves allow you to make room for tall items.

Built in self diagnostic system - allows you to trouble shoot common tasks yourself, such as changing a water filter.

When shopping for your appliance be sure and compare prices, as always, on the internet. Such a large item is not likely to be practical to ship; however, you may obtain an overview of current prices and make your decision in the privacy of your home. A manufacturer¡¯s warrantee is usually limited, so investigate what extensions may be available, especially in appliance store which may service what they sell.

Keep in mind that most families keep their refrigerator around ten years, with average use. Shop smart and select an appliance which complies with energy-saving guidelines.
