The temptation to find someone you haven¡¯t seen in years grows stronger as the years pass by.  When we recall old memories of childhood playmates, old boyfriends and long lost best friends, we tend to grow nostalgic.  Whether you want to recreate days past or just relive some of the good times with that person you lost touch with, it¡¯s become much easier to locate them.  

There are a few different resources you can tap into when trying to find someone you haven¡¯t seen in years.  You can hire a professional that will do all the work for you, but be prepared to spend quite a bit of cash.  If money¡¯s no object, why not go this route?  You will be almost guaranteed to locate the lost person and you don¡¯t have to spend any time looking for them yourself.  

But, if you¡¯re like most people, you do want to find someone you haven¡¯t seen in years, but you don¡¯t have a lot of money to spare.  So, where do you turn?  The internet, of course!  It¡¯s the fastest, easiest and cheapest option when it comes to locating that long lost person you¡¯ve been dying to see again.  

There are countless sites that offer locating services and you won¡¯t have to do much of the work yourself.  Normally, all you provide is some basic information about the friend you haven¡¯t seen in years, like his or her full name, birth date and their last known state of residence.  It¡¯s really that simple.  You will find that sites like this charge anywhere from $9.95-100.  I really depends on how hard it is going to be to find the person you lost and how much time it¡¯s going to take them.  

It helps if you have a lot of information on the person you¡¯re looking for.  If all you have is a first name, you¡¯re not going to go very far.  But, if you have a full name and know their exact birth date, what high school they went to and so on, you have a much greater chance of finding someone you haven¡¯t seen in years.

There are also different businesses that specialize in locating lost people that conduct interviews over the phone.  So, all you would do is dial them up and provide them with all the information you have on the lost person.  Then, they would do all of the work and get back to you once they have located them.  Again, this service could end up costing a couple hundred, but if you really want to find someone, it would definitely be worth it.

Ask around in your group of friends for a reference for these kinds of businesses.  Chances are, one or more of your current friends have tried to find someone they haven¡¯t seen in years too. They¡¯ll be able to provide you with a number or a website address of a reputable business that worked for them.  Or, you can always use a search engine to locate a people finding business and you¡¯ll be on your way to a reunion with that special someone in no time!
