Grand Rios Water Park, at 45,000 square feet is Minnesota¡¯s largest indoor water park. This water park located in Brooklyn Park, MN is open to guests registered at the Grand Rios Hotel, residents of Brooklyn Park and groups of 10 who are guests of water park events. Tickets are also available to the public occasionally.

Grand Rio features The Hurricane Plunge, which is one of the six body and inner tube slides. Riders on this slide travel down a dark, three-story, serpentine tube, traveling at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour, they then swirl around a funnel-shaped bowl, then finally splash down into a plunge pool. Other rides available here are the other body and inner tube slides, a 500 gallon dumping bucket known as The Big Splash, a play area called Coconut Island where water lovers can shoot water cannons, a 535 foot action river which winds throughout the park, two private spas, and finally a basketball and sport pool. 

Taking a break from all the water fun is a very viable option, as Grand Rio Water Park has an excellent arcade known as Player¡¯s Club. This 3800 square foot game room contains over 50 video and redemption-style machines available for its guests. This is sure to provide entertainment for any age. Tickets won at the various machines can be redeemed at the prize center. 

Grand Rio Water Park is also available for parties, with rates that range from $15.95 to $35.95 per person plus tax with a 10-person minimum. With a group event reservation, the guests will receive one wristband per guest, balloons for reserved table, personalized birthday sign, 5 game tokens per guest, use of the towel and locker facilities. One meal will be furnished with one menu choice per guest, which can be hotdog, chips and fountain soda or slice of pizza and fountain soda. Space for parties is limited, so advanced reservations are definitely required.

Souvenirs are available at the Treasure Chest Gift Shop, which is conveniently located at the Water Park Entrance. Here guests will find a good variety of items including Coconut Charley and Grand Rios logo apparel and any purchases may be charged to guestrooms or to a credit card.

Grand Rio Water Park is located in conjunction with Grand Rio Resort. This two-story motor hotel is a southwestern style establishment with a suburban location. Guests here will find 225 guest rooms, a laundry room, fax services, babysitting or childcare, dry cleaning or laundry service, a business center, administrative services, allows pets, has smoke alarms located in each room, offers photocopy services and has an ATM/bank service. Guests will also find A-V Equipment Rental, room service, a health club, both indoor and outdoor pool, a game room and a hot tub. Each room is furnished with air conditioning, a telephone, and cable/satellite television. There are also non-smoking rooms, daily maid service, fireplaces, coffee makers, balcony/terraces and a mini-bar.

Grand Rio Water Park offers something for everyone from a lazy river and exciting water slides to a sport court and kid¡¯s area or the arcade. Adults are sure to enjoy the hot tub, bar and entertainment. A visit to this water park along with its hotel is the makings of a great vacation with a tropical feel.
