Choosing a Halloween costume for a baby can be tricky¡ªYou want something that¡¯s easy and affordable, while your baby wants something that¡¯s cute and comfortable. Often the easiest way to suit everyone¡¯s needs is to create a costume using everyday clothing items such as sleepers, sweat suits and onesies. Read on for several simple, no-sew costume ideas that you and your baby are sure to love.

Tiger- Turn your infant into a ferocious tiger quickly and easily using only a few inexpensive supplies. For this project you will need: an orange sweat suit, a baseball cap, some black fabric paint, a paintbrush, black yarn, two googly eyes and a permanent marker. Once you¡¯ve gathered all of your supplies, just paint black stripes all over the sweat suit, and set it aside to dry. Then to complete the look, add black stripes to an orange baseball cap, and glue on a few pieces of black thread or yarn for whiskers. Add two googly eyes and a hand drawn mouth, and your tiger is ready to Trick-or-Treat.

Lamb- Transform your baby into a precious little lamb in 30-minutes or less with the help of a white sweat suit, a few packages of cotton balls and some fabric glue. To complete this project just glue cotton balls all over the top and bottom of a sweat suit, and your costume is ready to wear.

Beach bum- Save yourself the time and trouble of making a Halloween costume by using items that you already have on hand to turn your little cutie into a beach bum. Just deck your baby out in last summer¡¯s swimsuit, floaties and sunglasses, and you¡¯ll have the perfect no-fuss costume. Then, to keep the theme going, leave your baby¡¯s jacket at home, and use a colorful beach towel to keep her warm. 

Dragon- Dress your infant up as a dragon, and he¡¯s sure to have a blazingly good time on Halloween. To create this fun look, just purchase a pair of green, sleeper pajamas; and glue triangles of green felt all along the backside. (Fabric glue will work perfectly for this step.) Then, complete the look by gluing more felt scales to a green ski hat or baseball cap. 

Super Baby- If you¡¯re looking for a costume that¡¯s super adorable, turn your baby into Super Baby. Purchase a leotard or onesie in your chosen color, and then just iron the first letter of your child¡¯s name onto the front of the top. (Check your local craft or fabric store for a wide selection of iron-on letters and decals. You may also be able to find letters with adhesive backing if you¡¯d like to forgo the ironing.) Then, dress your child up in tights and the leotard, and finish by securing a cape to the back of the costume with safety pins.
