LEO THE LION (July 23 to August 22): The lion is master of all he surveys. He is strong, self confident, honorable and creative. He has a great deal of pride每 he loves to have his ego stroked and can be easily hurt if his ego takes a blow. He likes attention, but his vanity cannot handle being made to look like a fool. He has a hard time admitting he is wrong, but he is a good provider and a caring family person.

LION/RATS: Born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996. The Lion/Rat is very aggressive, and goes after what he wants with an intensity rarely matched. The Lion/Rat is always looking for ※the one§ to settle down with, and once he has found the right person, they will become part of his family forever. He loves to be not just a part of social situations, but the center of them. His family is very important to him and he will work hard and provide well for his loved ones. To really bring out the best of him at home or at work, give him lots of encouragement to feed his ego and he will perform great things.  

LION/OX: Born in 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997. The Ox＊s influence on the Lion may make him appear very subdued and tame, but watch out if you arouse his temper or he＊ll flash those claws and teeth. With the Ox being such a hard worker, and the Lion＊s domineering attitude, he will usually climb his way to success with ease. If he isn＊t the boss yet, he will act like it. With a romantic partner, he will likely lead the courtship and make most of the decisions in the relationship. In the household, he will be head每 there is no point in telling him he isn＊t. Get around him by appealing to his ego, for it＊s no use going head to head with him. 

LION/TIGER: Born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998. The double-feline nature of the Lion/Tiger can be irresistibly enticing to people; he is exotic, powerful, graceful and dynamic. Just don＊t wound his pride, or the cat may decide to make you his mouse. He acts like royalty每 he thinks rules don＊t apply to him and will rebel against anyone with the audacity to tell him that they have authority over him. With an abundance of energy and creativity, he will always be looking for something interesting to do, and needs to find a way to express himself artistically. A Lion/Tigers makes a very sensual lover, that is if you think you can tame him.     

LION/HARE: Born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999. The Hare has a taming effect on the Lion＊s temper and ego, softening the rough edges of some of the Lion＊s more negative qualities. He also increases the Lion＊s energy, making the Lion/Hare a person who can bolt tirelessly from one activity to the next. He＊s the kind of person who will never sleep on vacation for fear of missing a moment of fun, and can go straight from working a double-shift, to the gym, and be ready for a night out afterward. With all of his energy, he is likely to wear out a lover long before he gets the chance to lose interest. You can usually find him excelling in careers or activities that combine creativity and logic.      

LION/DRAGON: Born in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000. If there any two other signs that can create a more potent combination, I can＊t think of them. The Dragon turns the fur-ball into a fire-ball. His ego can be so big you may wonder at times how he fits it under one roof. For all of his vanity, however, he will win over person after person with his larger than life personality. Even those who don＊t like him personally won＊t be able to help but respect his candor and admire his tenacity. He can be a downright intimidating person to many, and only a mate who will be a worthy challenge will win him.  

LION/SNAKE: Born in 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001. The Snake can make the Lion appear even more exotic, mysterious and charming than the Leo naturally is. He is not so forward or demanding of attention, but if you watch him, you＊ll notice that he is keenly observant. When he wants something, he will sit back unnoticed, watch and calculate as he assesses how to best take down his prize. He bides his time, and strikes at the right moment. He is almost always successful. Love interests may feel confused with his behavior每 sometimes he will seem distant and reserved, others he will be affectionate and warm. Lion/Snakes are not known for being forgiving, so if you hurt his pride or betray him, he will hold it against you.     

LION/HORSE: Born in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002. The adventurous spirit of the Horse drives the Lion to go on the prowl more often. He doesn＊t like to stay in one place, he is driven to seek out new frontiers. Horses are typically insomniacs and Lions are nocturnal, so you will find the Lion/Horse is usually drawn to night life; the harsh light of the morning will not appeal to him, and he may choose his social circle, even his career, to suit his love for late hours. He values his freedom and hates to be tied down for long, and usually has a long string of relationships in his past. He has little patience每 don＊t waste his time, be blunt and say what you have to say to him. Remember, flattery will get you everywhere.  

LION/SHEEP: Born in 1919,1931,1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003. The unruliness in the Lion is brought out by the Sheep, he may be very resistant to conformity and very undisciplined. It may strike you that the Lion/Sheep is a lucky creature, as it will seem that good fortune is always falling across his path. He will have to work for little. This is good for him, because he is horrible with money. Don＊t try to win an argument against him每 his self-confidence in his stance will be unwavering and he will tirelessly wear you down. He will do best paired up with someone who is a nurturer and can bring structure to his life.

LION/MONKEY: Born in 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004. The Monkey brings out the Lion＊s ※inner cub.§ He loves to play, and likes to get everyone in on the fun. You can＊t stay made at him for long每 he will cuddle with you and goof off until you crack. He is very intelligent and very creative, but does not like responsibility. He dabbles in a number of different artistic endeavors or studies as inspiration strikes, but once he has had enough he will drop it and move onto the next interest. Generally when the Lion＊s ego is bruised he will go away sulking, or lash back out每 but not under the Monkey＊s influence. A blow to his pride will only strengthen his resolve to come back and make you eat your words. While he cares a great deal for his family and loved ones, he has a tendency to take them for granted.   

LION/ROOSTER: Born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005. Radiant and colorful Roosters lend flair and flamboyance to the attention-loving Lion. He will prance around with his head held high, always standing out in a crowd and loving it. When it comes to being flashy, you will never outdo him每 he will have the best float in the parade, the most outrageous costume on Halloween, and his home will have a carnival-like ambiance. He is not very diplomatic每 in fact, he will stir things up just for the drama. He loves a good argument, loves to get a rise out of his opponent, will almost always win and won＊t hold a grudge. His mates need to give him the challenge he thrives on and be able to let go of differences just as easily.     

LION/DOG: Born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006. His home is his castle每 don＊t even think about disrupting it. He will protect his family and his space ferociously. He will be loving to his mate and want lots of children and pets. The Lion/Dog is not in the least bit ambivalent每 he makes up his mind rather quickly and tends to stick to it. He likes something, or he doesn＊t每 rarely will he go back and even bother to reconsider. He＊s very friendly and loves to be social, though he is liable to be snappy with people who rub him the wrong way. All he needs to be happy is praise and compliments, and he will accomplish great things.  

LION/BOAR: Born in 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007. The Boar takes some of the puff out of the Lion. He becomes more humble and far less attention-seeking (though he will secretly relish it when he does get attention). He does not need to have his ego fed as often, and does not have as much pride to wound. Socially, he is more content to run around with a small group of close friends  than seek out new people. He＊s not interested in a wild party or thrilling adventure, he would rather just settle into a weekly card game or watch the big games together on TV. He is an eternal optimist, and believes things will always work out for the best. He just wants to share his life with a mate he has a lot in common with and make a comfortable home for them.
