This is just another example of how this crappy show only cares about the money. Definately one of the top 3 worst shows EVER!! just my two cents 25. I'm a huge fan of American Idol. I watch it every week and have been since about half way through season 1... but I must say that I think this is a lame idea. I saw some of the flavors at the local Walmart last week but I'm not going to buy it just cuz it says "American Idol" on it. The only one I might try is the Take The Cake, simply because I haven't seen ice cream in that flavor before. I've had strawberry cheesecake ice cream by Ben & Jerry's. How different is Hollywood Cheesecake really gonna taste? Same thing goes for Triple Talent and Choc n Roll Caramel - they've been done before! The Soulful Sundae Cone kinda reminds me of Rocky Road ice cream too. The least they could've done is come out with 5 NEW ice cream flavors. I mean, this is almost as bad as American Idol PopTarts... almost. 26. Oh great...eat this stuff & you'll get Simon mocking you for being FAT. 27. Hey Mark (#13) I have also tried these - they have been available here (in northern NJ) for at least three weeks b/c that was when we got the Soulful Sundae Cone (YUM!) and the Hollywood Cheesecake (DOUBLE YUM!). Though, I must admit, in general Edy's is one of the best two "regular" ice creams on the market around here, the other being Turkey Hill, not counting the ones that cost $10 for a half gallon (like Haagen Dazs or B&J). The Take The Cake sounds just like Turkey Hill's "Party Cake" which I have tried and it does NOTHING for me - you want cake, eat cake! LOL The Caramel thing sounds like Moose Tracks and the Triple Talent, well... it's not only chocolate, it's TRIPLE CHOCOLATE!!! Enough said! That one is next on my list when it is on sale again! :o) 28. May I suggest Rum Raisin as Paula's flavor? And Pink Lemonade Sherbet for Seacrest? 29. Dreyer's...lol, an obvious ripoff of Breyer's. It's Edy's where I come from. Saw it in the store today, so they got it out before Feb. 1. Looks good, but not for $5.99. 30. This is stupid, but I want to try the cake one, sounds good. 31. The American Idol Ice cream has already been out for weeks. Since 1st week of Jan, and is starting to sell pretty good. 32. I'll say "Let Dreyer's have some fun with this". 33. Even though I have never been sucked into the A.I. hype, and frankly have no interst in reality shows whatsoever, I AM an Ice Cream enthusiast and Dreyer's alum so I say sounds fun! Even though I don't wish to promote these shows, I understand that marketing on trends is nothing new, (cartoons, Kid's shows/movies, sports, etc.) it's smart business, and if we get yummy flavors to enjoy out of all this, then who's to complain? Everybody "wins"! We can be cynical, sure, and say "what is the world coming to"? But remember, Ice Cream, just like this show, is an indulgence; a "guilty pleasure", a thing we desire, but don't really need and We all have our own reasons for giving into it. If it makes you happy, watch it, buy it, try it, enjoy! If the thought of it all makes you sick, then maybe you should turn off the TV...or computer...(and go get some ice cream!) THAT will make you feel better! :) 34. I love the idea that Dreyer's is making an Ice Cream with the name of AI. They need to make a new one each year named after the winner!! I would have loved to try the flavor with the name of Carrie Underwood!!!! 35. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 36. It's all about making money. I think it's hysterical. 37.
