Late night confessions that will get me bannedPosted Jan 28th 2007 11:33PM by Sarah J. Gim It's not exactly late night here on the West Coast, but since the other half the country is probably already tucked into bed, I will consider it "late night." In fact, if half the country is already alseep, I might feel better that I'm not "outing" myself to them. I have a confession to make, and it just might get me banned from the Internets -- er. at least the food webs. I ordered Papa John's Pizza for dinner. On a Sunday night. Sunday nights are supposed to be family dinner nights with whole herb roasted chickens and stew that I've simmered all afternoon long and bread that I've let rise all day. Isn't that what a good little food freak should do? On a Sunday night?!?! Have a long, slow-cooked meal of lazy comfort food? "Lazy." Not only should I be banned for ordering pizza, but I should be locked into a small room that doesn't have an electrical outlet with a microwave oven and a 3'-high stack of frozen burritos as punishment because I was so It's just too easy, friends. Papa John has made it too easy to order a pizza online without even having to move turn my chair from my desk to pick up my phone. Point. Click. Pay. Twenty-seven minutes later, the door buzzes. I'm surprised they don't have some mechanism that will actually beam the pizza to me through the front door. So there you have it. I've confessed. But at least I didn't tell you about Flamin' Hot Cheetos. |
