Monk fudge

Sure, monks are sometimes known for brewing beer, but making fudge? The Brigittine Monks of The Priory of Our Lady of Consolation, located in Amity, Oregon, apparently do a brisk business in confections through their website. Along with a life of daily prayer and contemplation, the monks of this Willamette Valley monastery produce fudge that has been featured in Bon Appetit, People Magazine, Chocolatier and The New York Times. A pound of fudge is about $10; seasonal chocolate truffles are about $11 per half pound.

If anyone has tried any of their sweets, I'd love to hear about it.
