Equation for the Perfect Bacon SandwichPosted Apr 15th 2007 10:01AM by Sarah J. Gim You say you spent a lot of time in the kitchen coming up with the "perfect" something - omelet? salad? macaroni and cheese? But you have nothing, and I mean nothing, on researchers at Leeds University, who spent over 1,000 hours testing 700 variations of the bacon butty, aka a bacon sandwich. The study, which was commissioned by the Danish Bacon and Food Council, is not a joke. How could it be, when the scientists actually derived an equation? If you're wondering what it takes to make the perfect bacon sandwich, it's N = C + {fb(cm) · fb(tc)} + fb(Ts) + fc · ta. I've been meaning to figure out the perfect recipe for Korean BBQ ribs (galbee). Looks like I have a lot of hours to put in. |
