Or rather, we're back to looking at Target's in-store brand, Archer Farms, and some of the products they offer.I mentioned the Chocolate Chip Petite Cookies last week, which were fine, but not worth running off to Target, battling the Soccer Moms in SUVs in the parking lot, and waiting in a confusing doubled-up line for 15 minutes. They're chocolate chip cookies, for goodness' sake!Key Lime White Chocolate Cookies are the next installment of my Archer Farms Target Finds. The cookies are packaged in the same way as the regular chocolate chip, but everything is green -- in case you couldn't figure out that there is lime somewhere in the cookie.The cookies inside, expectedly, didn't look anything like the pert little cookies dotted with pristine white chocolate chips sitting beautifully on a green plate. They were broken, crumbled, and a lot of the chips had fallen into the "bag gutter," those limbo-y crease at the bottom of the bag where crumbs and pieces get lost. I realize that this is not the fault of the cookie, but what on earth happened back there in the stock room of Target that small sturdy cookies inside a protective box got so mangled?I fished around in the bag trying to find a cookie, a half, even a quarter, anything, that I could try. There was something of a half-cookie down inside that silver bag, but it was dusted over with crumbs. I had to brush them all off before taking a bite.As much as the physical condition of the cookies were poor, the cookie tasted pretty good. Other than key lime pie and a now more-than-occasional mojito, I am not fond of lime flavoring. However, the flavor was subtle enough that I didn't make a face, and pronounced enough that I didn't have to keep looking at the box to remind myself of what I was eating.The only thing I didn't love was the white chocolate chips. The combination of white chocolate with lime has become a bit of a standard, but I am not all that fond of white chocolate to begin with (call me what you will, but I just feel shammed because it isn't fair to call it "chocolate"). The chips were somewhat grainy and way too sweet. I wouldn't have minded if they had been left out.
