Wasp crackers are creating a buzzPosted Sep 11th 2007 2:02PM by Sarah J. Gim I've heard of people eating ants, crickets, and even larvae, but wasps? Not until today. In Omachi, Japan, a village 120 miles northwest of Tokyo, 80-year-old hunters catch digger wasps in nearby forests. The wasps are boiled, dried, then sprinkled over a cracker dough, which is cut with hot iron stamps to create the cracker shapes. The crackers are called jibachi senbei and are sold in packages of 20 for a mere £1.60. Wonder if you can feel a sting. |

I knew of 3 high class restaurants that were shut down because the cooks or help would spit in your food or rub it on their private parts if they didn't like your looks or if you ever complaned about the food. He then swiped the sauce off his hairy arm back into the barrel. Needless to say, he quit. Posted at 10:04PM on Sep 16th 2007 by raoport 52. Do any of you have ANY clue what passes inspection for things like peanut butter and chocolate?! You eat bugs ALL of the time, you just don't know it! LOL! Americans really are kinda brainwashed when it comes to a lot of things...not that I'd be standing first in line to east a wasp cracker or anything!!! Just be a little more accepting, or at least open to other ideas/possibilities. HHHMMM, I think I'll go make a PB & J!!! Posted at 10:56PM on Sep 16th 2007 by Leonda 55. Ummm....that is eight spiders in a life time, not a month. I might start sleeping with a mask on or something. And cockroaches in chocolate? Once, i found a chicken toe in my chicken noodle soup. I don't eat chicken anymore. BLECK!!! The fingernails are totally disgusting holding the cracker! What were these people thinking to use that hand to hold a food that we all have second thoughts about eating anyway? Please tell me those dirty hands didn't cook the wasp cracker. Might try them if not for those fingers! Looks as if they've been scratching some nasty place on their body! If they want to get rid of edible things why not use the eyes of pigs or the throats of cattle or the butt holes of any slaughtered animals why wasps? Posted at 12:09AM on Sep 17th 2007 by rose 60.
