21. Whammer your CP story made me howl in laughter-- one measly peanut?! Never received circus peanuts, thank God..my father and I still to this day call them door stops.

Smarties were very low on my list, as were sweetarts and the like. Anyone ever get the weird orange or black wrapped taffy? I think they were PB flavored or something...those were awful.

22. I once got a little baggie with 5 pennies in it.. and a bit of advice from the little old lady giving it: "don't spend it all in one place." She was serious....

I'll also have to cast my vote for the peanut butter candies of doom. Those always went straight into the trash.

I actually LIKED getting money for Halloween; the neighborhood I lived in had 4 bars right near each other that opened at 6am during the week so by the time we got out of school and our moms took us in there the folks were drunk enough to think we all had the BEST costumes in the world and give us even quarters and DOLLARS...back in the 60's that was great bucks!!! I think about the grossest was getting potato chips, LOOSE, someone just reached into their bag of Lay's and threw them in...disgusting, and the suckers were stale too...the taverns used to give us all free bags of beer nuts...to this day I love those damn things LOL.
