Recall issued for Oscar Mayer chicken breast stripsPosted Feb 19th 2007 1:02PM by Joanne Lutynec If you recently purchased Oscar Mayer ready-to-eat chicken breast strips with rib meat, there is a chance that they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause an uncommon but possibly fatal disease known as listeriosis. After scientists at the Georgia Deprtment of Agriculture found one package that was contaminated, Kraft Consumer Response announced that the recall affects all six ounce packages of 'Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich chicken breast strips with rib meat, grilled, fully cooked, ready to eat'. The packages in question are marked with an establishment number of 'P-19676' and a 'Use by' date of 19 Apr 2007. The recall affects all such packages sold nationwide. |
