The 6th annual South Beach Wine and Food Festival is set to begin tomorrow, February 22nd and will run through Sunday, February 25th. Most of the events have already sold out, and they are expecting approximately 18,000 people to attend throughout the weekend. The purpose of the festival is to showcase the talents of world-renowned chefs, culinary personalities, and wine & spirit producers, as well as celebrate Latin and Caribbean-inspired cuisine.Also, the 2007 Food Network Awards will be held on Friday night, where Emeril Lagasse will act as Master of Ceremonies alongside fellow Food Network personalities including Giada De Laurentiis, Nigella Lawson, Bobby & Pauly Deen, Bobby Flay, Sandra Lee, Alton Brown, and Rachael Ray. Also scheduled to attend are Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart, and Martha Stewart, among many others. The awards will be broadcast in a 90-minute special on the Food Network April 15th.
