21. Want to lose weight. EXERCISE. don't rely on diet stuff. All Diet Stuff will kill you. Keep eating and drinking that stuff and have a nice short life. Posted at 7:06AM on Apr 7th 2006 by voxsilvae 22. I've always questioned the validity of tests where the amount given to rats is above and beyond what any human being would consume. I'm sure if you give that amount of anything to a rat it increases the risk of negative health side effects. That being said I do agree that the chemicals are not natural and could have harmful effects to humans. To what extent I have no clue. But the truth is that these days most of the foods we eat are not in the least bit natural. Even if you pick up a peice of fruit it has most likely been genetically altered and covered in pesticides. I am not going to stop drinking diet drinks. But I drink it knowing fully well that it is affecting me in some way whether I know it or not. Posted at 7:08AM on Apr 7th 2006 by Melissa 23. I am satisfied with the study, however, every thing works different on some people due to, i.e., body chemistry, hereditary genes , etc. I think that it has helped me maintain my sugar intake therefore helping me with my weight problem as well as diabetes, which can also be deadly, so weigh your options, if you dont need it dont use it, but what will be, will be, and the use of this product could be healthy for some and maybe unhealthy for others, but I surely FEEL the healthy side affects in my case, so I am glad to hear the reports. I personally continue to drink Diet Caffeine-Free Diet Coke because 1) I like the taste better than regular - hard to switch back once you made the switch. 2) I need to avoid any extra calories I can, being about 6'1" and 270#. 3) Caffeine is a natural diuretic so DCCC is closer to water for hydration, but water is always better. I've worked with him and found him to be one of the best in the country, at least contact him and see if he can suggest someone in your area. Posted at 7:21AM on Apr 7th 2006 by bill wood 30. This study is a total lie! and pockets run deep. I had a seizure and a host of medical problems because of drinking diet soda and consuming artificial sweeteners for years! I'm slowly getting this gunk out of my body and feeling so much better. Americans aren't losing weight off of diet coke either, they're fatter and sicker then ever. One study says this and one study says something else, they all seem to contradict one another. When will it end?!?!?! Posted at 7:24AM on Apr 7th 2006 by Carla 32. It might be safe but it sure screws with my colon! Even if I chew a peice of gum with this stuff in it I'm in trouble! I'll stick to Splenda.(not as irritating) Posted at 7:28AM on Apr 7th 2006 by Lori Vandemotten 33. "Everything in moderation". The dosage in 1 can of diet soda can't be anything significant. There are 8-12 teaspoons of sugar in the average can of soda. Aspartame is 160-220 times as sweet as sugar, so a can of diet soda couldn't contain more than 0.06 teaspons of Aspartame AT MOST...which is just a few milligrams per can. Aspartame is not toxic, people...what is even more damaging is the amount of Caffeine, which is a class-6 regulated poison, but nobody mentioned the levels of this ingredient in each soda. Drinking Diet soda is no different than any other addictive substance. If we can make it through the withdrawal period and get off of it, we always feel better. Man was not created to need caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, etc. - we created those needs ourselves! Same thing with preservatives, chemicals, etc. in food which I feel have caused so many health and behavioral problems. So go through the pain and get off of it - then drink water instead. Your body will thank you for it by living a long and healthy life. Posted at 7:42AM on Apr 7th 2006 by Janet 39. Water, water, water. Whether it's your chemically treated local water or the so-called bottled type, it's still better than anything else! We are all addicted to the chemicals and caffeine that we consume by the gallons every day. Give your body a break. Posted at 7:43AM on Apr 7th 2006 by sherry wright 40. This message for Heldi. I don't know a nuero surgeon on hand, but I am definitely going to pray for you. It is written whoever is made whole need not a physician. And you definitely need a physician, and his name is Jesus. I don't know if you believe in God but you definitely need him in your life, before-= God forbid you pass over on the other side not knowing him. There are many different churches just pray that God leads you to the right one. Some churches that are there solely for God witness the greatest move of God, where people experiences healing, when the doctors can not to anything. I have experienced that first hand, when I first gave my life to God- I was like when I experience this, I'll believe it. And when I did, I was'nt at church and I was praying for my elderly aunt who the hospital said would not make it. Not only did she make it, she lived. It is written: The prayer of faith shall save the sick. You could even pray sickness of yourself, that is if you truly have a solid relationship with God. And you only have to have faith(belief) the size of a mustard seed. If you don't have faith it won't happen. Not having faith saids that God can't do it- but he made you didn't he? It is written, Seek first the kingdom of God. You seek him and you'll find your physician. Whether it is a supernatural or natural one. I pray you decide to give God a try, what do you have to lose? THink about it!! Posted at 7:43AM on Apr 7th 2006 by Mrs.Clark |
