26. Have sampled lots of weird meats...the most unusual, porcupine. I hoped it would taste like "chicken" but unfortunately it tasted like a pine tree. Hence the name porcuPINE.

27. Well Shoot fire! Ya'll act like us folks in the US dont never eat such critters! Why... I growed up on fried rabbit and squirrel. Thats some good eatin... fried squirrel and gravy. Slap some of that squirrel gravy on a couple pieces of white bread add alitte ketchup and go to town eatin on it!

You dern tootin! We eat deer too. Some folks around here even eat rattlesnake.. THATS were I draw the line!

30. why is it when it comes to wierd food there is always somebody that says it tastes like chicken. If you want chicken, buy chicken but don't tell me a rat tastes like anything but a roasted rat. So, being the good citizen that I am, anyone who would like to try the fried rat, you may have the ones in my house. There are so many you could have a community dinner. 32. Dito on the nutria rat! i'm from louisiana and i can honestly say that if its edible we can throw enough Tony's on it or throw it in a gumbo/stew and make it taste good! meat is meat ppl come on. if ppl can eat bull fries/mountain oysters then a rodent is a piece of cake! :)

34. AH-HA! I knew Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez was insane and this confirms it. If you remember Chavez hated America and talked about us so badly that it sounded he wanted to go to war with us. Chavez totally disrepected America. I wondered why he was also a communist. He is 100 percent certifiably nuts, insane, wacko, out where the buses don't run, over the cockoo's nest. 35. RODENT IS GOOD EATEN. BEEN TO HONG KONG. WHERE THE GOVERNMENT TOLD ITS' PEOPLE TO EAT RAT. IT WAS GOOD, LOW IN CHOLESTROL AND HAD CLOSELY THE SAME AMOUNT OF PROTEIN AS BEEF. 36. I grew up on San Juan Island in the 60's when the place was overrun with rabbits. To give you an idea of how thick they were, my record in one shot with a .22 rifle (early July 1963) is 4. My Mom had a whole book of recipes for rabbit (some were just chicken recipes with the seasoning slightly tweaked).

I'd have no problem trying nutria or capybara.

Tell me if I'm wrong, anyone from Louisiana, I heard somewnere that the nutria (introduced) has become a bit of a problem, inimical exotic, I believe, is the term. Maybe if they caught on as meat there wouldn't be so many. Probably not much difference; on a summer Saturday on San Juan in the 60's you'd rarely go 5 minutes without hearing the crack of a .22 (another bunny bites the dust), but they stayed thick.

39. What you eat depends on what food is available in your area. Just look at pizza. People in countries that have a lot of seafood put seafood on their pizzas.

If we had those little critters, they'd be dinner eventually (as long as they are heathy to eat).
